"Welcome to Oxford" said the taxi driver. I just left the airport and I'm on my way to Oxford University. I have to say I'm a little scared because I'm one of those people who don't make friends as easily as other people.
I've always wanted to be that kind of person who could just start a conversation with a stranger but that's not me I'm kind of shy when you first meet me but then I warm up to you after we've talked a few times. Regardless of that I'm still extremely excited to be attending Oxford. We finally made it to the university, "Thank you so much" I say.
I grab my bags from the trunk and I start walking to my room.
I see a lot of people hanging around in the courtyard a few of them stare. There's this group of guys who won't take their eyes off me and they're starting to make me feel a little insecure. They're all covered in tattoos and a few of them are smoking they look like bad news, but they're all extremely attractive especially the one with the green eyes.
We both continue to stare at one another, It's like everything around me slowed down and it was just us two, I was so preoccupied staring that I didn't even notice the person right in front of me calling my name. "Veronica", "Veronica", "Veronica can you hear me?" says the voice. I turn around to see who's calling my name "Oh my god Meredith what the hell are you doing here?" I ask.
"I got accepted" she says. "No way, not that you wouldn't be able to get in, but I thought you were going to UCLA." " I was, but I applied here not thinking I would be able to get in but I did and oh my god I'm so excited" she says. "Me too this is going to be the best four years of my life". or so I thought...
