We walked into Manhattan, Percy's hometown. Surprisingly, no monsters attacked. Then we found it. It was a karaoke place!

"Karaoke, anyone?" Annabeth asked. "I'm all for it," Hazel exclaimed. "Let's go sing, girls!" I said excitedly. We walked into the karaoke place. There were people everywhere, and the woman who was singing sang, "Wildest Dreams". She was okay, but I knew I was better.

"So," I said, "Who's first?" "I'll go," Hazel squeaked. "Sign ups for singing are closing, so get up here and sign up!" The DJ boomed. So, Annabeth, Hazel and I bolted to the sign up sheet.

Then, we realized that there were only THREE spots left. And there was someone who looked easy to persuade in front of me. "Can I get in front of you?" I charmspoke. "Of course, my lady," The man said. He stepped aside and moved to the back of the line. "Works every time," I whispered to Annabeth and Hazel.

So, all of us signed up to sing. Since we were the last three people on the list, we listened to every terrible singer until it was Hazel's turn to sing. She walked up to the microphone when her name was called. And the music started for the song "Animals" by Maroon 5.
