An azure forcefield stopped the blade right before it was jabbed into my side. I faced my attacker, their hood pressed shadows against their face. I gave a nonchalant half-smile, "Did you forget?" My simple question only earned another attack from them. The second unseen dagger pierced through my thigh, the somewhat, powerful blow and agony caused me to fall to the ground. My scream lingered around the room, elven curses streaming from my lips. "Are you done now?" Their voice was surprisingly lighthearted and silver.
The removal of the attacker's hood caused me to narrow my eyes, with furrowed brows, I slightly tilted my head to the side, "You're a chick?" Wispy silver hair was now visible, along with unnatural crimson eyes.
"And you're not?" A chuckle bounced on her words
I calmly examined the dagger halfway in my thigh. The room was too dark to see anything clearly and accurately. "Since we're all friendly and what not, could you like.." My voice trailed off.
"We're not friendly. This is just mercy." The girl causally raised her right hand, and before I knew it the dagger swiftly made it's way towards her. The handle fitting perfectly in her hand. She spoke again, "And since I'm nice." Her words were like a cue for the unnatural blistering healing to begin on my thigh. "Remember our deal?"
I slowly nodded, "Of course I do."
"Then get up."The girl clasped her hands together, "Ready?" I hesitated before nodding again, "Will this hurt?" Her crimson gaze looked me over. A chuckle echoed around us, "Death is painful." The girls mellow way of saying those words sent a chill down my spine, "That's not comforting at all." I continued, my tone light, "What's your name anyway?"
"Uuolf." Her eyes returned the question,
"It's Nora." I answered.Everything went dark after that.
