Chapter 7

Amber's POV

This is weird, why would even Krystal's  grandma invited me to Jung's family party? She doesn't even like me.

But well, I need to look nice. I decided to wear a tux.

I walked to the Jungs, they waited outside already. Mr. and Mrs. Jung seem so restless.

What's going on?

We drove for half an hour and got off at the most expensive restaurant in Seoul, all booked for the Jungs. They're loaded, I tell you.

Everybody bowed as we passed by. I heard from Krystal that her dad is taking over the company when old Mrs. Jung steps back.

We entered the restaurant, it's being heavily guarded. There are at least 2 men in black guarding every entrance. The waiter took us to us seat place.

She booked all the restaurant just for us??? And I heard there's just going to be us, Grandma Jung and another family.

Grandma Jung comes, Mr. and Mrs. Jung bowed. I frown, how come they're so cold with each other? No hugs? On the contrary to her son and daughter in law, she hugged her granddaughters, kissed them on the cheeks and called them Princesses.

I bowed at little bit as she looked at me “Thank you for your invitation.”

She just nodded. She ignored me the whole night and I don't give a shit.

“Mother, why are you calling us here?” Mr. Jung asked after the dinner.

“Well, I want to celebrate with you because Soojung is well. I wanted to apologize because I couldn't be there at that time”

“Just that?”

“Well, yeah that and there's another thing. What time is it? Ahh they should be here soon”

She looked at the door and just at that time 2 men entered the restaurant. One is middle aged, maybe as old as Mr. Jung and the second one is a handsome young man.

Grandma Jung stood up “Supervisor Kim, you've made it on time”

“Director” the bald guy bowed deeply. The younger one followed his lead.

“And this must be Jae Joong, right?”

“Yes, Mam. Thank you for your invitation. I'm honored.”

“Don't be like this. We're going to be a family anyway”

A Family?? What's this??

Everybody has confused look on their faces except for Mr. Jung. He was clenching his fist. As if he knew what's going to happened.

“Sit down, please”

“I want you to meet family Kim. Supervisor Kim has work for us for over 30 years. And that's his son, Jae Joong. He just got back from the states”

“Supervisor Kim, Jae Jong, meet my family, my son, my daughter in law, Jessica my princess and Krystal my little Princess.” Everybody bowed a little bit to each other “Oh, and that one is Amber... Krystal's BEST FRIEND”

The way she said it, as if she knew something.

Grandma Jung cleared her throat “ I told you I invited you guys because I want to spend my time with you and for another purpose... I'm marrying Krystal to Jae Joong”
