"Daddy! Daddy! There's a monster under my bed!"
"No there's not sweetheart, it's all in your head."
"But it said tonight it'll make sure you and I are dead.
I'm not lying, Daddy! That's what it said. That's what it said!"
And as the father's face sweated profusely in dread,
he remembered that night laying in his childhood bed
when a monster opened his closet door and snuck out its head,
"I might just wait to kill you with your future daughter instead"
As the father panicked, his heart drastically sped it's beat,
"What did it look like and did it hold down your hands and feet?"
He thought, "I hope she doesn't say 'old lady with really sharp teeth'"
"Umm yeah, a small old white lady with really sharp teeth."
At this point the father knew something was wrong.
This monster had haunted him and waited this long.
He rushed to the lamp but the lights were cut off,
and then silence... suddenly the closet door flew off.
The father hugged his daughter harder than ever that night.
The monster walked out and then everything turned white,
then black, then white, then black, and then white,
and suddenly the father and daughter took flight.
They slowly floated closer and closer into the ceiling,
turned themselves around and saw their bodies dead and bleeding.
The monster approached the bodies with another old-hag-being,
they climbed in, and suddenly the bodies again were breathing.
And for the daughter and father, everything turned to white,
and then black, then white, then black, then white,
and then forever, all they saw was white.
Luckily, they'll never get to remember that night.
