Chapter 1| Melissa

"Mom!" I said as I jumped up from the sofa crying.
"Sweetie! I'm sorry I wasn't there to stop this from happening. Where's maddies body is need to see her?" Mom asked hugging me tightly.
"They've taken her away already." I explained.
I walked over to the tap to wash my hands. It had blood on from where Brynn stabbed me. "Urm,kenz? Has Brynn hurt you to?" Mom questioned looking at my arm.
"No. I mean yes. Mom I'm tried to st-stop her from hur-" I said trying to catch my breath.
"Come here. Come on let's take you to the hospital." Mom said helping me walk to the car.

As, we were in the car we didn't talk. We just sat quietly. When,we arrived and I was being treated she disappeared and she didn't even tell me, where she went. What kind of mom leaves her child hurt and doesn't tell her? She didn't come back for hours. What if she hates me now? I kept asking myself. Until...
