The Grill

Isobel was standing next to Rick at the bar. "It's good to see you. You look good. I hear that you're a high school history teacher? How is that?" Isobel asked.

"Where have you been, Isobel?"

"I don't have any reasons that are gonna comfort you. I don't have any explanations that are gonna satisfy you. I wanted this."

"It's that simple?" He asked.

"Yeah. You were supposed to mourn me, and move on."

"You were my wife, and I loved you. How could I not search for you?"

"Because I wasn't lost, Rick."

Isobel takes one of the napkins and starts writing something down on it, "I understand that you know my daughter, Elena and I hear that she's been looking for me. So..." She hands Rick the napkin. "I want you to arrange for a meeting with us."

"You want me to deliver a message?" He asked looking back up at her.

Smiling she says, "yeah."

Rick crumples the napkin up and throws it on the bar, "Screw you. You selfish bitch!"

Rick then gathers his stuff and leaves. Outside Rick starts for his car, when Isobel stops him.

"What do you want from me?" He asked.

"I told you."

"I'm not gonna do anything for you." Isobel grabs Rick and holds him against his car.

"You better tell Elena that I want to meet or I'm gonna start killing the citizens of this town one by one and I'm gonna start with your history students. Got it?"

Isobel throws him to the ground, and he looks up and grabs the paper, that Isobel gave to him before. He stood up to find that Isobel disappeared.

"I'm supposed to help build the Miss Mystic falls float for the founder's day parade. If I don't I get the rath of Caroline but I wanted to check in first," I said as I put some clothes into my bag.

"I'm doing great, thanks for asking," Damon said through the phone.

"Checking on Stefan," I said sitting on my bed.

"Oh him? He's terrible."

"What's the matter?" I asked as I stood, starting to panic.

"He's just back to boring, straight-laced, off the junk. You've successfully cured him of anything that was interesting about his personality."

"Don't forget who helped me."

"I hate myself. Did uncle John mention anything about my field trip with the history teacher?"

"No. I'm still avoiding him. Why? What's he up to?" I asked picking my bag up and throwing it over my shoulder.

"I don't know. But I'd love if you could find out for me."

"I've got to go I'm late," I said heading for the door.

"Have fun with the mystic queen, I know I did."

I hung up and headed down the stairs.

Boarding house

Damon sat up as he pulled Stefan's phone away from his ear. Getting up Stefan walked out of the bathroom drying his hair, as Damon said, "Elena called." Smiling he leaves the room as Stefan looks after him then down at his phone.
