Deception

Shane lied in bed waiting for Harmony to text him back. He waited and waited until his phone buzzed.

He looked at it and read a message from Harmony that said, "Its Leo again. He keeps blaming stuff on me. He said that he loves me but I said no I'm Shane's not yours and he said whatever I'll just kiss you. Shane probably won't do anything anyways. He's the weakest person I've met."

Shane got up and looked at himself in the mirror. He lifted up his black tank top and eyed his 6 pack. He put his shirt back down and then flexed his biceps. He imagined Leo in his mind. Shane knew that if they ever got in a fight that Leo would lose. Shane's weapon was way more powerful, his semblance was much better and Leo was fat.

Shane shook his head and sent Harmony a message that said, "Okay first of all I've already beat his ass. My weapons way more powerful, and so is my semblance. I've actually got muscle and all he has is fat. And its not your fault babe. I won't let him treat you like this."

She sent a message back a few minutes later, "SHANE PLZ COME TO MY HOUSE NOW!!!"

Harmony never shouts when she texts so he knew something was wrong. He rushed out of the house grabbing Dark Moon, his scythe that is combined with a whip.

He reached Harmony's house within minutes. He ran up to the front porch seeing blood dripping down the stairs. He looked at the window next to the door which was Harmony's room and saw a bloody hand print.

Shane soon filled with great terror and screamed, "Harmony! I'm coming!"

As he was about to kick down the door he heard Harmony scream. Shane kicked down the door seeing a trail of blood leading to Harmony's room, almost as if someone dragged her down there. He pulled out his scythe and peeked in her room. He saw her shoot ice from her hand blocking a knife that was thrown at her.

"He's here isn't he?" I heard Leo say.

Shane went back against wall until he heard shuffling. He looked back in to see Leo holding a knife to Harmony's throat.

"She's mine Shane!"

"No she's not. Maybe she would like you if you showed her respect!"

Shane started walking towards them and Leo cut Harmony's panda ear. She screeched in pain and Shane's cheetah ears fell back. He felt like he let him hurt her.

Shane looked at Leo's knife and used his telekinesis to shoot it out of his hand. He lost his grip of Harmony and she fell to the ground. The knife went past his shoulder and and the he through it back at Leo as Harmony fell.

The knife went right over her head and into Leo's skull. Leo fell to the ground and Shane ran to Harmony. Her legs and wrists cut and bruises on her face.

"He killed them.... he killed them! He killed my parents and my sister!"

Shane put his arm around her and asked what happened.

She responded with, "I was staying up talking to you and I heard Sierra scream. I lied in bed confused and then I heard my parents both scream. I got up and walked down the hall and stood in front of the door. I heard something outside so I opened it and saw nothing. I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder aggressively pulling me towards him. I pushed him away and then tried to run but he grabbed my face and slammed my head into the wall. I nearly passed out... I then felt something puncture me in the stomach. I looked down and saw a knife lodged in my body." Shane looked down and saw a bloody wound on her stomach.

"Why haven't you activated you aura?"

"I ran out. He some how took it away from me..."

Shane kissed Harmony and then he started glowing yellow as she started glowing light blue. They stopped kissing and there was a moment of silence before she looked down seeing that her wound was healed leaving a small scar.

Shane picked her up as he closed her eyes.

"I love you so much Harmony."

"I love you to."

Shane walked through the woods that separated their houses. He heard several howls but ignored it as he reached his yard. He walked in his house and turned on the lights. His house was more of a shack. He had to learn how to live by himself when he was only 7.

He put her in his bed and then quietly shut the door and walk down the hall.
He went into his friend Dakota's room and saw her writing in her journal.

"Its time for another one."

She knew what he was talking about and grabbed her tattoo kit. Shane took off his shirt revealing his six pack once again, but instead of looking his muscle he looked at the scars on his chest and then he turned and looked at the lines on his back. The lines represented the lives he's taken. So he'll never forget what he's done.

He sighed and looked down at Dakota.

"So... who'd you kill this time."

"Leo." Shane said sitting down.

Dakota started carving into his skin. He felt hardly any pain and closed his eyes.

Shane closed his eyes started thinking back to his life with the Esmintsy clan, a group of faunus who killed every human they saw. If a faunus supported humans they would kill them immediately. He started thinking of his mentor Stone and how he changed over time. At first, Stone was nice and caring but as the years went on he was more stern. And by the time Shane was 14-15 all he remembered about him was the way Stone abused him. Every once in awhile Shane would be beat and he never knew why. Stone would just walk up to him and beat him. He thought of what Stone said to him the first the he did it. "You must take it or I'll kill you... or Harmony."

"Done." Dakota said breaking his deep thoughts.

"Thanks. Sooo Beacon's tomorrow. You excited?"

"Yep! I hope me, you, and Harmony make it on the same team. I can't wait!" Dakota said with a knock following.

She got up and grabbed his scythe thinking that one of Leo's pin head friends would be there to attack him.

He opened the door and saw his friend Willow. Her pink dress moving with the wind.

"Willow are you okay?" I asked. She wouldn't show her face to him.

She sniffled before saying, "I'm just gonna stay here tonight until we go to Beacon. I don't really wanna talk about it."

"Of course. Your bedroll is in the same place as last time you were
here."

She walked down the hall and took a right in to a room.

"I'm gonna go to bed... see how Harmony's doing." Shane said just really making an excuse to go see Harmony.

Dakota nodded and went to the room at the end of the hall. Shane took a left into the room across from Willow's.

Shane quietly opened the door and saw her sleeping. He crawled into bed and turned away from her thinking that would be best because of her wound.
