Chapter 9
I pulled up my scratchy gym uniform and slammed my locker shut. I headed to the gym. Unfortunately Anna was in a different class then me. Yeah and so was Aiden, Cameron, Maddie , and Nick they were ALL in the other gym class.
Lucky me.
Bob cut and other jocks were also in my friends class, the other gym class was on the other side of the gym. I rolled my lips in and laced my fingers together and hesitantly walked to my side where my class was supposed to be. I scrunched up my eyebrows in a ‘V’ when I only saw a tiny figure huddled up in a ball in the middle of the gym.
Sophie?
I picked up my pace and walked to a quiet Sophie. The gym uniform looked really baggy her kind of pale legs looked skinny and I could see faint blue and red veins on her forearm. Sophie had pulled her curly bouncy dark brown hair into a tight ballerina bun. Beside the tiny pink bump centimeters away from her hairline. Sophie over all looked flawless!
Sophie looked up hesitantly and grinned showing her straight white teeth her and she stood up in front of me shifting on the balls of her tiny feet. “I’m so glad you’re in my class! I really did think I was going to be alone!” Sophie exclaimed I thought her face was going to spilt into half from all that smiling.
“I feel like everyone we know is in the other classes.” I sighed and looked at my feet.
“Yeah I guess. Maybe Chloe will be in this gym class!” Sophie said hopefully. I looked up from studying my grey vans to Sophie and placed my hands on my hips.
“That was so not funny at lunch.” I tried to give her my best disapproving look. Sophie’s grey eyes slightly widened her skin paled a little. She opened and closed her mouth and she looked ashamed as she looked down at the gym floor.
I lightly smacked her shoulder she jolted up her face looked the same. “I was joking Sophie you know…not kidding.” I said softly adding a laugh.
Sophie is about 2 inches shorter than me so she sort of looked up at me. “I am really sorry I didn’t mean to make you upset.” Sophie’s grey eyes got glassy, she was looking at my face trying to see if I was mad.
Did she not hear what I just said?
“Sophie I said I was kidding you guys were just joking it didn’t hurt my feelings.” Why do I feel like I said this already? Oh because I did! Sophie’s skin went back to it’s normal color but her eyes were still kind of glassy.
I looked behind me and noticed a couple more people in the schools’ uniform walk in through the door and come to our side. I looked back to Sophie, she kept adjusting a tiny gold ring on her pinky finger. “What size shoe do you wear?” I noticed that Sophie’s feet were kind of small, but in a adorable way.
Sophie looked up and narrowed her eyes and crossed her arms defensively. “My feet are not tiny!”
I held my hands up like she was a cop. “I never said your feet were tiny I was just asking what shoe size your are wearing.” Sophie uncrossed her arms and placed her hands on her hips, I smirked. “But since you mentioned it your feet are a little…”
“My feet are not tiny! Or small! Or abnormally strange!” Sophie hissed she curled her hands into tight fists.
“Abnormally strange?” I added raising my left eyebrow. “How’d you come up with that one?” Sophie lips went into a straight line her arms hang by her side. “Wait let me guess…Chloe?” I asked not giving her a chance to answer.
