The world was always so colorful to Hinata. He knew that the only way to see color was to meet your soulmate or come in contact with them. All his life he's seen color, he found it strange. When he told his mother, she was very bewildered. You begin to stop seeing color once you hit the age of 8, But he never lost sight of his colors. He knew his hair was always a vibrant orange color, unlike most of his friends.
When Hinata graduated from middle school, he knew he had met his soulmate before. When he had arrived home he glanced at his mother, could she see all he colors he could? See the blue color of the sky? He wanted to know how it worked, this whole soulmate deal. So he asked his mother.
Entering the kitchen, Hinata clutched his shirt. "Mom..." Turning her head Hinata's mother greeted him. "Oh! Shouyou! Is there something you need sweetie?" Hinata looked to the ground. "What if I can't find my soulmate?..." Hinata clutched his shirt tightly. His mother paused. "Shouyou..." His mother approached him. Placing a hand on his shoulder, she soothingly caressed his hand with her other. "You've probably seen them already, but maybe they can still see only black and white. You're going to have to trust that they find you." Hinata's mother said. "I'll try..." Smiling, his mother embraced his slightly taller figure. "You'll find them soon."
Highschool has finally started, and Volleyball season finally started. Becoming friends with his team was a blast! But he hasn't met anyone who could potentially be his soulmate yet
It was after school, Hinata had forgotten to grab his sneakers in his shoe locker, so he needed to go grab them. Seeing a girl walk down the hall with a volleyball uniform on, Hinata had noticed her (h/c) hair that matched her face. Her (s/c) skin sprinkled with sweat. But what caught his attention were her eyes. He couldn't see what color they were. All he saw was a faint dark color of gray. Odd... He watched as she briskly passed by, a note dropping on the floor out of her bag. As it fluttered to the ground, Hinata hastily picked it up only to see that the female who had dropped the item had vanished as fast as she came into view. Looking at the piece of paper, he noticed the oddly colored writing on it. But he was surprised to see what it read.
Why can't I see color?
The next day, Hinata decided to find the girl who had dropped the slightly crumpled note. When he had opened the folded piece of paper, he saw a variety of many colors, oddly put together. When he had read it over he felt a pang in his chest.
I wonder how these colors look like. This pen said it was a maroon. It looks like a dark color. I wouldn't know anymore. Why am I spending time to write this? I've never met anyone whose been able to trigger color. Is this why I can't see color? What is the color of the sky again? The sunset. What colors are the sunset? How does yellow look like? Red? Green? How about that "vibrant" Orange? I want to know once more. If I ever find my soulmate, I want to read over this once more, seeing how the colors look on the page. Please... I want to see COLOR.
The last word "color" was written in black and orange. Though he doubted that's what they see. Coming across a female that perfectly matched the girl from yesterday, Hinata ran in front of her before she could walk any further into their class. Hinata screeched as he ran in front of her, he female flinching in surprise. As Hinata opened his mouth to speak he noticed her bright (e/c) eyes. He didn't see those before.
So her eyes were black and white to me...?
He recalled once from Sugawara that the eyes were the windows to the soul. And he coudnt see the color because...
As reality hit him like a truck, Hinata opened his mouth, ready to screech once more. But all that came out was a breathy hiss. The girl furrowed her brows in confusion and bewilderment. Leaning uncomfortably close to her face, Hinata stared into her eyes. "You have really pretty eyes!" The females' eyes widened in shock. Backing away, Hinata shyly handed the female the small note. "You dropped this yesterday. I kinda read it.. Uh... S-Sorry..." Hinata said to the girl. Taking the paper, she continued to stare at his face. No.... More like his head.
"...Your hair is Orange..." She whispered. Knowing the girl couldn't see color before he was taken aback from her statement.
Wait if she can see color now...
"Are... Are you my soulmate...?" The girl whispers eagerness gleaming in her (e/c) orbs. Hinata blushed profoundly her face was quite adorable now that he thought about it. "Y...yes..." Hinata murmured. The girl's face slowly broke into a soft smile. She nervously fiddled with the paper in her hand. "I'm (l/n) (f/n)." She said softly. Hinata smiled as well, happiness bubbling in his chest.
"I'm Hinata Shouyou! Nice to meet you (f/n)!"
