I was gonna visit Ritsuka. Yeah, I'd skip school for her safety. School is just school. I'm 'sick' today.

Just as I reached the front gate, I saw that just like yesterday, her brother had sprayed Holy Water at the gate. This is gonna be painful. I knocked on the gate, wincing in pain.

"Ritsuka?" I called out. Damn, that hurt. No one heard me. How...nice.

I sighed and just waited at the gate. I sat down, away from the Holy Water, and blew on my hands. Ouch.

Lindo soon walked out, locking everywhere up. Talk about overprotective. He tensed when he saw me.

"What are you doing here?" He asked.

"Making sure Ritsuka's ok. I don't need you or anyone to trust me. I wanted to ask how I could become an Exorcist but you don't seem to trust me and I have zero proof that I detest the Student Council so nevermind." I shrugged. Lino glared for a while. Then he sprayed more Holy Water on the gate. I ran away.

"Meanie." I pouted, across the street. He glared again before leaving. I sighed sadly. Damn. Then apparently, even with the Holy Water, he didn't trust me because he came back to sing an enchantment.

Hey, he sings well. Oh God, he hates me so shut up brain.

"I'll protect you no matter what." He told the gate. Which is weird because I'm pretty sure with all the Holy Water he sprayed on poor Gate-san, it'll be fine. Finally, he left and didn't turn back to glare or add extra precautions against me. Sheesh.

"Yes!" Ritsuka exclaimed. I looked back to see an excited brown-haired girl cheer in success after prying open the window. I have no comment whatsoever.

She hopped out with her bag and school uniform on.

"Sorry Lindo. I just have to see for myself." Ritsuka declared. Whoa, I'm going home to change. I went home, got ready for school and came back. Well then, seems I'm not 'sick' after all.

"Ritsuka!" I smiled at her. She looked at me, slightly scared.

"Are you...are you a devil? Is everything you've done for me just a lie so you could gain the Forbidden Grimoire?" She hesitantly asked.

"Not exactly. I'm a fallen angel, like Shi-kun. And I already own the Forbidden Grimoire, I don't want it though." I explained since her bro/cus must've finally told her.

"Shiki?" She asked, completely ignoring the Forbidden Grimoire part. I nodded happily.

"Can I go with you, just in case? You're gonna check the third library for answers, aren't you? It's not gonna be safe on your own." I babbled. We got to school and went straight to the third library. There, Loewen opened the door for us.
