I awoke in a dark room, crying, and barely able to breathe. It seemed to be pitch black. My hands were clinched tight. I had to have lost my mind. I didn't know who I was. I didn't know my name, my age, who my family was or where I was for that fact. All I could think to do was scream but no one heard. No one came. I lifted up my head from the pillow of which it was placed upon and I saw a dim light coming from under what must have been a door. I got out of the bed and placed my feet on the floor. I tried to take a step only to fall to my knees. I picked up myself and took another step even tho my legs felt as if they were going to give away. I came close to the door and moved my hand up against it until I found the handle. I cracked open the door slowly. It squeaked each second I moved it. As I opened the door my eyes burned. I had to squint my eyes to see. I must have been in the room for a while because it took me a few minutes to come close to open up my eyes. When I finally could see I saw a black and white hallway down the left and right side of my room. It seemed to be endless. There was no color. No painting on the wall, no paint, no furniture, no colored doors or light. Just white walls, white lights and glass doors that I had a steal handle and steal sides. But this glass was different. It was completely black. Not as if the room was black but it was just black glass. And you couldn't see in. It seemed weird to me but I took a step out into the hallway to see what was ahead of me. I walked down the endless hallway and saw one different door down the hall. I walked closer to it. This one didn't have dark glass. Instead it was white. I walked closer to open it intrigued by its difference but I heard a strange noise and then saw a mad come out of a corner that I never saw there. The man had an orange diamond outline on the left side of his face. I stood there staring at it. But the man called the name Naveah. Was that my name? Was that who I was? I started to walk towards the man but he pulled out a needle and came closer to me. I asked him who I was. Who he was. He said I'm one of the last. I'm unknown. He is set to keep me here. He said that I'm nothing. There is nothing and if I left I would be found and killed. Even though there was a risk I couldn't stay. I only knew my name. Nothing else. And I felt that it was my destiny to know more. I had this feeling inside of me pulling me closer to the door. The man with the orange diamond came closer. He told me not to leave and then called others with the orange face too. I didn't know where to go and I felt drawn closer to the door. The men pulled out knifes and came running towards me. I ran. As fast as I could to the different door. I swung it open and it closed and locked. I found myself in the woods. But I heard the voices again. They were all around me. So I ran. I ran as fast as I could. I looked behind me and I saw them coming closer. I could barely see as my hair flew in front of my face from the wind. I tripped in the mud and got up as fast as I could but they were gaining on me. I saw a small old wooden shed to my left. I ran to it. I pushed open the old door, quickly got inside and locked the door. There was a small crack on the side of the door. I looked out the crack and saw the men running past the door. I was safe for now. I looked around the dark shed. I started walking around and I saw a door leading to underground. I opened it. There was a small stairway leading underneath. I started to walk slowly down the stairs cautiously in case the men had found their way underground. Once I had gotten off the stairs I realized I had ended up in old sewer tunnels. I started looking around when I heard a noise. Someone was there. I slowly looked around. I called out, " Is anyone there? Hello?" But no one answered. I don't even know why I said anything. It's not like they would respond, "Over here". I started walking into one of the tunnels when someone jumped out right in front of me. I tried to scream but he put his hand over my mouth. " They'll hear you if you scream." I moved his hand off my face. He was a tall guy who had to be sixteen or seventeen. He had dark brown hair with light green eyes that had a small sparkle inside. His face had dirt on it. He was wearing dark muddy jeans and a dark blue shirt. "Who are you?" I asked. " I'm casey. Who are you?" he asked. "I'm not sure. I woke up earlier today and I didn't even know my name. Someone called to me the name Naveah. So I think that might be it." "Hmm. Well, as I said, I'm Casey. After most people disappeared I was left with only my sister" he said to me. "Who's your sister?" I asked. "Her name is Thea and shes 6. She's not here. When we left the city where we lived we had to find a place to stay to be safe. We were running into this very forest when I heard those exact same men with the orange diamond. I told her to hurry up. I kept running and when I saw the shed I looked behind me to get her inside. She was gone. I've spent the past 5 months looking for her in all these tunnels thinking she somehow could be underground. I haven't found her. I need to start looking above ground. Maybe I can help you find out who you are."
