Chapter 1

Kageyama hung up his cell phone. Sugawara had called to tell him that afternoon practice was cancelled tomorrow but morning practice was still on. He decided to make note of it on his wrist before remembering that his soulmate would see this too. He shrugged it off thinking 'They'll just have to deal with it now' and went back to the homework he was doing. He was focused for another ten minutes until he noticed more writing appearing on his arm.

'Practice for what?'

He stared at the words for a moment before writing his reply.

'Volleyball.'

He received a reply faster than he expected.

'You play volleyball? Me too!'

He decided to keep the conversation going. It was definitely more interesting than the math he had been working on moments ago.

'What position?'

'Middle blocker, you?'

'Setter.'

'Ooh I have a friend who's a really good setter!'

'That's nice.'

The conversation ceased for a little while. Kageyama was struggling to think of something to say but thankfully his soulmate saved him the trouble.

'So, what's your favourite food?'

'Pork curry with an egg on top. You?'

'I love tamago kake gohan!'

The conversation continued in a similar fashion until Kageyama started to nod off. He bid his soulmate a quick 'goodnight' and got ready for bed.

As he lay on his bed he looked at his arm. The moonlight shining through his window was enough for him to read the conversation that had managed to cover his whole hand and forearm. He smiled fondly at his arm. He studied his soulmate's hand writing. He wondered. Who could they possibly be? Was it someone he knew? What did they look like? As he continued thinking he thought of someone they reminded him of. His last thoughts before slumber took him were of a certain middle blocker he knew.
