A/N - I just calculated the number of ghost readers I have. I am shocked. Its 2K. I have 2K ghost readers on this story. Sorry for the late update. Did anyone watch India vs Australia? It was amazing! The last two overs by Kolhi & Dhoni were:
Kolhi- 4 4 6 (Kolhi's dance) 4 4
Dhoni - 1 Kolhi - 4 1 Dhoni - 4
We win!!!!!!!!!!MANIK
I danced the night with Nandini. It felt nice. Thank God that we had masks... No one saw us dancing. Phew! I really don't know how the others would react when they would find me dancing with the opponent. They would call Nandini names saying that she was just dancing with me purposely and was over smart like Navya. So I tried my best that no one saw us together.
I think that even she did the same. As soon as lights went on, she pushed me aside and almost ran down the dance floor. Instead of removing our masks and looking surprised with whom we were dancing with, Mr. Manik Malhotra and Ms. Nandini Murthy decided to run away from each other.
Soon the party ended and all four of us decided to go to Cabir's home. We decided to drink there. I drank too much and decided to stay at Cabir's home because I really couldn't drive in such a condition.
I wore a loose Tee Cabir had.
Cabir's home wasn't a big one. Just three rooms, two washrooms, one kitchen and one guest room (or lobby kind of a room). Since I fell asleep in Cabir's room, Cabir and Dhruv decided to sleep in some the third room and Mukti slept in the second room.
It was around three when I woke up due to a bad headache. It generally happens with me. I rarely get high because after Alia left me, I drink a lot. I didn't move a bit because I knew that the headache would be fine soon.
But I heard some whispers in my room. I didn't move. It was Maddy and another guy.... The long one, I suppose? Who was he? Um... Ya... Aaryaman. They were trying to open Cabir's room's window to get inside the room. God knows what they want now.
We already allowed them steal our fake performance details.
Ain't they happy?
Or maybe they came to know that the original details were in Cabir's home and not our common farmhouse? Oh boy screw them. Now what will I do? I definitely can't move because (1) I have a bad headache, (2) I'm drunk and I can't even walk properly, so how will I fight, and (3) If they come to know that I'm awake, they would definitely try to do something stupid and I don't trust them. They can even kill me (yes I am not kidding).
NANDINI
I left the college as quickly as I could...after the dance. I quickly changed into something more comfortable. I wore a pajama and a simple top.
I tried my level best to not to think of Manik.
Love at first sight is stupidity.
I lied to myself.
I quickly covered my face with my blanket and forcefully closed my eyes to sleep. It was 11:30 P.M. and I really couldn't sleep. My mind would wander again and again towards Manik and the mask dance.
I got up and switched on the lights. I quickly opened my side drawer and took out the novel I'd been reading - Twilight.
I began to read it. I didn't care to check on which chapter I was, most probably it was Theories, as all I remember is looking at the page in which Bella and Edward sat in the car and Bella told him that she figured out who he was.
I was literally looking at the page again and again though honestly, I wasn't reading anything.
I was thinking about the magnetically charming eyes of Manik and ugh! I MUST NOT THINK ABOUT HIM!
Then, I closed the book and got out of bed. I switched on the switch for WiFi and loaded a video on my phone.
No use.
The fourteen minute long video seemed to end in a blink and I didn't even knew what happened in the video.
I am getting insane. I really need to do something.
"Hey Nandini." I heard a cool but almost like mine voice on the window.
"Oh Niasha! You'll never stop coming like this, will you?" I jumped with excitement and hugged her. She is my sister, my real sister who went to Delhi to study.
"Well I like surprising entries from windows. You know I don't like the simple walking in through door thing. Good that you left the window open. Oh it was difficult to climb up." she said.
We both are like the different poles of a magnet. I am the one who wants to stay away from trouble, while she always wants to create trouble. We even have minor differences that makes us completely different. For example, I like to sing classical music while she likes to dance on western beats. I believe in simplicity while she is a complete fashion diva. No wonder opposite attracts.
Ladies and gentlemen, presenting to you my real sister, Naisha, my twin.
