Her hand trembled against the wooden door, and Nicole looked into what seemed like the kitchen. There were golden colored cabinets with silver handles. The counter was clear and radiant. As she looked to the left, she noticed a wooden table with one chair. The wall was covered up with black boards, like someone was trying to hide something. Without a second thought, she climbed onto the table, and tried peeling off the wood, but it wouldn't budge. She started to pound against the boards.
"HELP ME! PLEASE! I'M TRAPPED IN HERE!" she screamed.
All of a sudden, the door to the living room closed with a slam! Nicole spun around and dropped to the floor. "Please let me go," she pleaded. That's when the fuzzy voice started to become clear again. She stood up and walked to a radio. The voices were mixed but they all stopped at one voice.
"Hello? Hello, who's there?" the deep voice spoke. It sounded like an old man on the speaker.
"HELLO?" Nicole repeated. She looked for some kind of speaker on the radio, but found nothing. "M- my name is N- Nicole Benson! I'm stuck here, PLEASE HELP ME!" she cried out. The voice continued to be shaky, but understandable. The old man began to speak again.
"Look whoever you are, you have to get out of here, even if it means risking your life. She watches your every move. Make one mistake, and she'll make no second thought to end your life. You have to escape her," he said.
Nicole sighed in frustration, "BUT THERE ARE NO WINDOWS!"
"There are no windows," the man repeated, "but I found a way out. In the bathroom there's-"
The radio went dead.
Suddenly, a light flickered on the the hallway. Nicole walked slowly to the hall.
As she went down the hall, she noticed the other doors. She frantically tried to open all of them, but none of them budged. She noticed that she was getting close to the door at the end of the hall, the only one that was open. Nicole was smarter than that. She thought she would at least try other doors. When she tried opening the last one of the locked doors, she pulled, pushed, slammed, pounded, and smashed on the door. She slid down the door, her hope plummeting. She ran her hands through her hair. She felt something poking at her so she she pulled it out. She held a bobbypin in her hand, and an idea popped into her head. She bent the pin in the shape of what a key would be like. She turned around and stuck the pin into the keyhole.
It clicked!
She threw the pin down to the floor and opened the door with all of her strength. As she opened it, all she found was brick behind the door.
"WHAT?" she yelled. Suddenly, all of the locked doors opened. She looked around, all of them with brick behind them. She then felt a force much stronger than wind push her toward the bathroom at the end of the hall. She was thrown onto the hard floor and the door slammed.
All went silent.
