Nicole lifted her head off of the marble tiles in pure darkness. A few seconds later, candles flickered on, and Nicole stood up while rubbing her head. It was a tight space. A toilet sat on the right, a bathtub on the left, and a mirror and sink in front of her. She looked over the bathtub, it was almost full to the top. She dipped her finger in it, and quickly took it out.

It was hot.

Steam was rising from the bathtub, Nicole coughing as a result. She stumbled back and slipped on something wet, but she grasped onto the toilet. When the steam cleared, she looked down, and saw that she was stepping in something that was a yellow liquid.

"I hope that really isn't what I think it is," she thought aloud.

She looked up and saw a figure in the mirror. She jumped, then realizing it was her, she sighed. Even if there was a ghost, she knew that they wouldn't be that stupid enough to pull that mirror stunt like they did in the horror movies her and her brother used to watch as little kids. She laughed at herself in the mirror, noticing how stupid this really was.

But as she stopped laughing, she noticed that her reflection kept laughing. Nicole put her hands to her mouth trying to see if she was and not realizing it, but she wasn't. Her eyes slowly eyed the mirror. The figure staring back at her wasn't her. The figure's eyes started melting into a black abyss. Its forehead became covered in blood- red vains. It smiled with sharp teeth.

Nicole's heartbeat sped up, not believing what she was seeing

Nicole's heartbeat sped up, not believing what she was seeing. She sunk down the door and started to cry. She didn't want to be here, she didn't want to be scared anymore. She just wanted to go home, but she knew she couldn't. She just knew she was going to die.

"Don't be scared, come play with me," a voice whispered.

Nicole picked her head up out of her knees and looked around. She slid up the door, seeing that the mirror wasn't there anymore. Instead, a long, dark hallway leading to a small girl with toys all around her. A light bulb above her illuminated her blonde curls that bounced around her face. There was a red bow on top of her hair that reminded Nicole of the roses that she saw in the living room. She also had a red dress on of the same color. She sat on a concrete floor with a sad look on her face. Her bright blue eyes seemed like they were close to tears. Nicole walked close to what used to be the mirror, and stuck her hand through. It was ice cold through that hallway that it felt like she was sticking her hand through a freezer. Nicole backed up, shaking her head.

"This can't be happening, this can't be happening," she whispered.

Again, the little girl told Nicole the same sentence, this time, a little more assertive.

"Come play with me, Nicole."

Nicole widened her eyes in shock. Her heart sank into her chest; she had to remember to breathe. What would happen anyway if Nicole didn't play with her? Would the mirror just pop back up and the door would unlock?

This isn't a fairytale, Nicole, stop imagining things, Nicole thought to herself.

"W-w- what will h-happen if I d-don't?" she asked the little girl calmly.

Suddenly, the floor started shaking.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" Nicole screamed through the crumbling ceiling. When it stopped, she got a thought.

Maybe if I make her angry, the ceiling will fall and I can escape! Nicole thought. It was a risky plan, but it
could work.

Again, the little girl demanded Nicole to play with her.

"I'm so lonely, Nicole. Come play with me so I'm not lonely and sad anymore," it said.

"N-no!" Nicole spat. The little girl's face turned red. Again, the room shook, and the ceiling crumbled.

It was working.

"I demand you to PLAY WITH ME!" the little girl screamed.

This time, Nicole actually smiled. "No, you little brat!" This may have taken it too far. The room shook harder than ever. The little girl's eyes started to water with black tears.

As the ceiling started to crack, the shaking stopped, and she had a bad feeling

As the ceiling started to crack, the shaking stopped, and she had a bad feeling. Nicole felt something wet and freezing wrap around her ankles. As she looked down, she noticed it was water. She quickly turned around and noticed that the bathtub was overflowing.

The cold handle was turned all the way on. Nicole walked over quickly to the bathtub, trying to turn it off with all of her strength, but it wouldn't budge.

"I'm sorry, little girl," she pleaded, "I promise I'll play with you now!" This only made the little girl even more mad.

"Too late," it said in a loud, demonic tone. Nicole panicked. There was nowhere to escape the water, so she climbed on top of the sink. The water was still rising.

She looked down the hall of where the little girl was. She thought she could escape if she climbed through it, so she did. She ducked and crawled through.

After a few inches in, her head bumped into glass. She quickly fell, then rubbed her head. She tried to push through the glass, only to find herself fail. Finally, the water reached towards her, still freezing. It made its way to her. If this continued, she would for sure drown. She looked back at the little demon girl and pleaded.

"I really am sorry for calling you a brat! Please help me!" At this point, the water was at her waist.

Goosebumps arose on her skin and her teeth chattered. The water continued to rise. The demon girl smirked, only to turn the knob even further, causing water to fall out faster than a waterfall.

"Shit.. how is this possible?" Nicole whispered. It was almost up to her neck. She looked at the demon again, determined to get out of this mess.

"P-please l-l-little g-girl," she shivered, "I j-just w-wanna be fr-friends."

Now, icey water was covering her chin. The demon girl's face sunk, not feeling amused as she was a few minutes ago. The water was now up above Nicole's nose. She lifted her head to regain air, but the space wouldn't allow her to get air without also getting water in the way. The little girl finally decided to pull the lever to off when she saw Nicole struggling for air. She stood up and walked to the glass. Nicole closed her eyes and attempted to pound on the glass once more, doing no difference to the fact that she was drowning. At last, her face went calm,

and she breathed out her last breath.
