Ratonhnhake:ton and Genevieve walked towards the study where the fireplace roared in front of Achilles. Genevieve took off upstairs to get some dry blankets, leaving Ratonhnhake:ton with Achilles. Ratonhnhake:ton awkwardly walked towards the chair across Achilles and sat on it, before the chair collapsed at the weight of Ratonhnhake:ton.
Ratonhnhake:ton, who was now on the floor, stood up, and shuffled uncomfortably. "Sorry." He said, looking so ashamed of what he had done. Achilles sighed and nodded.
"It's alright, this place is already coming down anyway." Achilles said as he pointed, using his cane, at the chair nearby. Meekly, Ratonhnhake:ton took the other chair and sat on it instead.
By this time, Genevieve have already returned, with a couple of dry blankets in her hands. The two men, eyed Geneviev as she looked at the chair that collapsed. "Wha--?" Then looked up at Ratonhnhake:ton, scanning his body. "Nevermind." She said as she walked towards Achilles to give him a blanket, and drapping it on his shoulder.
"Thank you, Genevieve." Achilles said in his hoarse voice. She then walked towards Ratonhnhake:ton and handed him the blanket. She then sat on the table and wrapped herself with a blanket. Ratonhnhake:ton just stared at the blanket for a moment and took the blanket from her. He then wrapped himself with the blanket, he even noticed the warmth and the scent it gave off.
"T-Thank you." Ratonhnhake:ton said quietly. Then silence followed. Very, very loud silence. A deafening silence.
So Genevieve cleared her throat, causing all eyes on her, and smiled at Ratonhnhake:ton. "I'm sorry for throwing water at you earlier." She said while awkwardly scratching her ear. Chuckling to herself, "I never really asked your name." Tilting her head a bit.
Ratonhnhake:ton cleared his throat and nodded, "Ratonhnhake:ton."
"Oh. Rat-onahketon?" Genevieve tried rather poorly. "Hm... That is a very hard name to say... Ratonakiton? Ratonkatiton? Rato--" A cough cut off Genevieve, who was butchering Ratonhnhake:ton's name.
"Genevieve, you're embarassing yourself. Stop trying, child." Achilles said, as he scoffed and turned his gaze to Ratonhnhake:ton. "As for I, I won't try to pronounce your name." Achilles said causing Genevieve to pout a bit, because she really wanted to see Achilles fail. "Genevieve told me that you showed her a symbol."
Ratonhnhake:ton nodded and showed the paper he had shown Genevieve earlier. "The spirits--"
Achilles raised his hand, stopping Ratonhnhake:ton mid-sentence. "These spirits of yours, have been harassing the Assassins for a long time."
"But they said that--"
"Do you even know what an Assassin is?" Genevieve's voice rang out, which caused Ratonhnhake:ton to stare at the floor, shaking his head. Genevieve shot a look of concern towards Achilles, but Achilles raised his hand a bit, to signal 'not to worry'.
"Genevieve, your father--"
"Uncle." Genevieve corrected rather harshly, which Achilles dismissed immediately.
"--and I have taught you everything you need to know about the Assassin Brotherhood." Achilles said calmly, eyeing them both from time to time. "Can you tell... Connor," The name that caused Genevieve to stiffen a little, "what the Assassin Brotherhood is?"
Genevieve cleared her throat, before smiling. "This is going to be a long night." She said as she scoffed a bit.
