Everyone turned to look at me when I walked through the door.
"Miss Akone, why are you late? Class starts when the bell rings not when students decide to come in. "
" Sorry. My car broke down. " She sighed but allowed me to get seated. I sat where I usually sat;in between Tok and Regia. There were gasps all round.
" She's so stupid. "
" Total social suicide. "
" That gal's got guts. "
I ignored them and took my notebook out. I covered my face with my long blue hair. Mr. Krism had his eyes on us the whole time so Tok and Regia had no chance to talk to me.
Rrrriiiinnnngggg
It was time for my inner flash to come out. Then I remembered my nightly visitor. I sat back down and slowly packed my books after which I leisurely moved out of the door. As soon as I stepped outside, I was surrounded by Regia's cronies.
"Where do you think you're going? "Malildae sneered. She had always flirted shamelessly with Tok even while we were dating. I tried to pass by them but Malildae shoved me back. My backpack hit the floor and all my books fell out. My diary included. Oh God, Oh God, Oh God, Oh God. Why didn't I go to church on Sunday. Luckily, they didn't notice it. Malildae grabbed my hair and was pulling me towards the gym when Regia came and stopped her.
"Look what I have here. Someone's itty-bitty diary. Let's see here. "OMG, Tok talked to me today. He's so cute. I think I'm in love. Move over Mr. Teddy, there's a new man in town." "
She burst into laughter. I would say it couldn't get worse but I didn't want to jinx myself. It was of no use however. I looked up and saw the faces of over hundred students. They were all laughing boisterously while Regia read my diary of loud.
"February 10
I feel my parents don't love me. They never pay attention to me and always put me second. The only people who care about me are my stuffed animals. No one even knows that I lost my virginity to Tok. YES! You heard right. But it happened when we were drunk so I don't remember it. Which ship name should we use? "
Don't cry, don't cry, don't cry. You are a strong girl. I got up and walked right past her. She stopped me with her words.
" Slut."
I ignored her
"Whore. "
I ignored her
" B++++"
I ignored her
"You're so pathetic that your own parents can't bear to look at your ugly face. "
That, I couldn't ignore. I walked back until I stood right in front of her.
" So? What does it matter if you think I'm all those things. You're just an insignificant nobody who will probably be working as my maid ten years from now. How could you think that I would care about YOU opinion. "I was getting into it.
" But you do care, "She stated with a smirk.
" Because I'm a stupid teenager. But even when I'm stupid and unreasonable, I'm still smarter, more beautiful, richer and far better than you:the bug on the windshield of my life. "
I pushed her aside and walked away like a boss. I was so caught up in my euphoria that I didn't watch where I was going. I bumped into something soft and warm like one of my stuffed animals. That was when everything came back to me and I lost control. I hugged the animal as hard as I could, crying my pain away. I looked up and saw that the stuffed animal wasn't really a stuffed animal after all but..........
