You walked in through the doors of your work, the BAU, and were met with many faces turned in your direction. You had recently lost a cousin to cancer, and were a bit sensitive about it. Everybody in the BAU seemed to know about it, and it slightly bothered you. You appreciated the comfort, but it had been going on for a while now. You weren't even particularly close with this relative, but they had two young children and their husband had left them a while back. You had met the kids a few times and you didn't want them to go into foster care. So you stepped up and took them, as none of your other family members were able to.
Which is why now everyone in the BAU looked at you with pity and respect in their eyes. You had dark circles under your own eyes. You had been having trouble sleeping, the kids kept you up at night and when you finally could fall asleep, your dreams were filled with nightmares.
~Time Skip to Work Being Almost Over~
"Come on __y/n__. Reid said he'd watch the kids for you. You need to take a break." Morgan tried to convince you to go out tonight.
"Whereas I agree that I would love a break, does Reid know how to take care of kids?" You asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Actually, I've read many a book on the subject of childcare and I've been meaning to actually partake in trying it." Reid said with a shrug as you turned around to face him. You looked from him to Morgan.
"I'm not going to get out of this am I?" You said, doubt clear in your voice. They shook their heads at you.
"Then Spence, please take Garcia with you." You pleaded. If Reid had a woman there, you had no doubt that the kids would be fine but if it was just Reid, well, you weren't too sure about that.
"No can do hun, I'm going out with Kevin tonight." Garcia said with an apologetic look on her face.
"I can come then." Hotch spoke up from his desk. "I've been meaning to introduce Jack to them anyway." He said with a light in his eyes that he only got when talking about his son.
"Really? Thanks so much Hotch!" You said excitedly. A night away from the kids, and with Morgan. That sounded very nice. "I'm sure __girl/name__ and __boy/name__ would love to meet him." You said with a bright smile.
You and the rest of the team packed up, and they left while you waited for Morgan to finish doing something. When he came out, he slung his arm around your waist and pulled you towards his car. You drove to his apartment, and you entered. His apartment was very much like him. It was homey, but with a hint of masculinity. You liked it, and sat down on his black leather couch. He sat down next you and draped an arm around your shoulders. You smiled, and snuggled into him. Morgan chuckled softly, which sent vibrations through your body. Morgan gently kissed your temple as you slipped into darkness. And he said something, but you couldn't quite catch what.
You woke up in the morning, in Morgan's bed, with his arm wrapped around you. You smiled, remembering that you had fallen asleep on the couch and he must have carried you in here. You glanced at Morgan's face and saw that he wasn't sleeping; he was staring at you. You flushed and you looked down. Morgan turned your chin up to face him, and stared into your eyes.
"Now I'll have none of that." He said with a small chuckle as he kissed you softly. Your eyes widened in surprise before you hands curled into his chest and you melted into the kiss. His lips were slightly rough, but not uncomfortably so. And they tasted like, well, him. They were masculine, yet extremely sweet. After a moment you two broke away, and he leaned his forehead against yours. If all night offs came with kisses, you just might have to take them off more often.
