I swear to you,I'm gonna kill them all one day.
These damn cheery incarnations of optimism and denial. They're all stuck in their perfect little imagination where nothing goes wrong. And I'm their perfect little princess who doesn't wear goth style shirts and punk style boots while talking in eternally sarcastic mannerisms.
I walked through my neighborhood of sheltered suburban spoiled brats on a road to pure entitlement and no decisions of their own.I entered my quaint family home to be greeted by loving parents who were most likely hiding their discontent for each other and their individual secret shames.
I found my "mother's" (I'm most likely a bastard or adopted or hoping)pack of weed 2 years ago and you could tell my father as fornicating with other woman within the acknowledgment of his existence.
I trudged up the stairs to my room, ignoring my parents hello's and other lies.Marched straight to my room like when my parents scream at me to and slammed the door as if I just screamed 'I hate you!' like so many times before.
I sighed with relief as I leaned against the door.I took out a package wrapped in brown paper and stared at it.I then muffled my overly excited girly squeal and jumped on my bed as I tore through the paper.
When I opened it I held my secret shame,a fantasy novel by Eric Armitage. An exclusive sneak-peek at his newest series Land of Etherio.I would seem like the hypocrite I said these people were if they saw me divulging in these books that were barely as dark as my eye-liner.I flipped through the pages and found only blank pages.I looked all the way through to the end where I saw a single sentence.
Welcome to Etherio.
I stared bewildered by this and then went on a little trip.
I was falling, blah blah blah,a bunch of words, blah blah blah and now I am here.Lying on a queen-sized four poster bed with pink velvet sheets in a gray cobblestone room with tapestries of some weird people and someone who slightly resembled me.I wasn't sure exactly,I haven't seen myself without black make-up on since I was 12.
I got off the bed and looked around.I had read enough fantasy books to tell this was some sort of bed chamber.A large mirror with a complete set of make-up that went to shades of I didn't even think were possible. To my right there was a large wooden door with gold fixtures and latches. To my left was an open pair of stained glass doors.I looked through and saw how stunning this place was.The sky seemed to have a kind of celestial effect to it even though I could clearly tell the Sun was up.
The surrounding area appeared to be a shimmering city.Despite the fact that it was simple brick and brass,it still shone like it was the Emerald City.I stepped on to the terrace and felt a strong breeze come by.I looked up and saw a winged behemoth soar overhead.
Beyond the horizon of the walls, there were farmlands, mountains,a forest of autumn leaves and floating islands. The very air seemed to be filled with a magical pressure.I just stared out into this world that seemed so impossible but right in front of me.I heard a creek and turned around. From out the door stepped an elderly woman in green dress and said "I see you are awake,Princess Suzanne.Shall we proceed."
