This is Not a Love Poem (Okay, That's a Lie)

On the day I first met you, I had a feeling

This was going to be an awesome year.

But little did I know that you would ever

Mean this much to me.

You have eyes like jewels and an effulgent smile;

Your hair is a lovely cascade of silk.

And in my eyes you will always be

More beautiful than a thousand lotus blossoms.

I think you are the most amazing person I have met

And that's one of the truest things I know.

You are like a snowflake for there's no one else like you

You will always be special to me.

The world would be a much better place

If we followed the example you set for others.

I've never met a person who's as sweet and clever

And devoted and talented as you.

But now the school year is coming to an end

And I have no idea what I'll do without you.

I don't want this special bond we share to be severed

When I leave, there's no going back.

It hurts for me to know that we'll soon have to part

But as my favorite teacher, you'll still be in my heart.

I hope you will remember me, as I'll remember you.

Now all that's left to say is:

I'll miss you.

I'm not a poet (as you can tell), but my teacher-crush loved this poem! I hope you like it, too. Thanks for reading!
