The two of you left Alphys’ lab. Your legs dangled on both Sans’ sides. Arms wrapped around his neck as his boney hands grasp your thighs to keep you from sliding down to the ground.

"say, sweetheart." He murmured, you hummed in response, "that . . . charm. what was it for?" You smiled at the thought of him actually being curious, "It's for you to keep on smiling. Your smile . . . it's what kept me smiling even though I'm blind. Sans, your smile is spectacular and I believe that you deserve to know that."

You could feel the heat emitting out of the skeleton's body, imagining his fluttered expression. Red cheeks and all. You giggled at the thought of it, making the shorter skeleton startled, "w-what? what're ya laughin’ at?" He scoffed, you could feel his face went entirely red, which it had, "You." You admitted through a fit of giggles, "You're just too adorable." You sighed happily.

Sans pursed his lips and scoffed once more, "i ain't cute." He pouted, though he doubt you could see. He felt your hands feel his face, "You're . . . pouting?" Sans’ face couldn't get anymore red than this, "s-shattap or i-i'll drop ya." He threatened, but you doubt that he would. Either way, you decided to stay silent anyway. A small, cheery smile painting your lips as you felt yourself bounce whenever he takes a step.

Knowing that your journey was about to end? It saddened you. Because you knew at the end? It was either you would be able to free them all, or you'd survive and leave them all. You hated the idea of leaving them. Especially the shorter skeleton. But you could never have both. It doesn't work that way. It doesn't balance.

Suddenly, you felt a cold yet somehow, surprisingly comfortable surface placed flatly on your cheek. Then, you realized, Sans had kissed you. SANS KISSED YOU! "S-S-Sans?!" You stuttered, but the skeleton didn't respond, "S-Sans, I-I know you c-can hear me!" Still no response. You pouted, but soon rested your head on his shoulder. Slowly dozing off, "You know," you yawned, "that was actually sweet." You giggled sleepily before drifting off into a peaceful slumber.

Y/n?

* You asked the flower if he was doing fine.

H-Huh? W-Why . . . why do you ask?

* You told the flower that you rarely see him, that you couldn't feel him circling around you or popping out of your skin and talking to the both of you.

O-Oh. Uhm, I . . . Y/n. I

* You told the flower to just tell you what's bothering him.

Your journey . . . is about to end, Y/n. Have you made up your mind yet?

* You nodded your head, yes.

B-But . . . why? Why do you—

* You asked the flower why not?

B-Because . . . Y-Y/n. Can I do anything to change your mind?

* You shook your head, no.

Y-You . . . You're going to make me cry, Y/n.

* You told the flower that there was nothing wrong about that. That crying isn't sign of weakness but strength.

Y/n . . . why are you being so kind to us?

* You didn't respond. You didn't have to. You have told him your reason countless of times that you even worry if he'd get annoyed if you say it again. So instead, you let your mind drift off peacefully into Dreamland.
