Your whole body shook and you jerked yourself up, you could feel the tears flowing from your eyes. You could feel your eyelids closing at your will. But . . . even so . . . you couldn't see.
Darkness blinded your vision, your heart picking such a quick unwanted pace. You were scared. What if the Underground got wiped out? What if you were already dead? What if . . . What if Sans is dead? You started crying. Ever so quietly as you rock yourself back and forth. You were nervous. You were . . . were-
"y/n?" A voice, as smooth as you remembered called, "S-Sans? S-Sans, where are you?" You stuttered, trying to touch something from the darkness. Suddenly, he pulled you into his warm chest, trapping you in his comforting embrace, "Sans?" You breathed, he nodded, "i'm here, kid. i'm here."
"Good," you cried, "That's good." You told him, "i-i'll never . . . l-leave you, y/n. okay?" You nodded, "Okay." You felt Flowey pop out of you skin, "Y/n. I-I'm sorry. I-I . . . I'm finding a way t-to l-let you s-share my vision for a while." You smiled and nodded, "Okay." Then, the flower was gone.
". . . kid-"
"I forgive him. It wasn't his fault after all." You told Sans, knowing that it was what he would say, you heard him sigh and you could suddenly imagine the look he had on his face. His teeth gritted, a hand covering half of his face as he eyed you carefully from the side. His golden tooth showing and you teared up knowing that it was just an illusion. That you would never see his face ever again.
That you would never see his smile, the way his nonexistent lips curved up whenever he talks about his brother. The way his eyes twinkle whenever he's happy. The way his left eye bursts into various colors whenever he's feeling something different. You could feel your eyes slowly tearing up, a lump forming down your throat as the hot, warm tears slowly rolled down your cheeks. You were hoping Sans couldn't see you.
But you could never be sure for you can't even tell where he's facing, if he was even there at all. For all you know he could've left by now, but little did you know that Sans was actually panicking as he watched the tears slowly roll down your face. Your whole body trembling as you cried. He opened his mouth to talk but quickly shut it when you exhaled a few words that made his left eye color change into something you had never seen before.
"I'm scared. G-God, Flowey. I-If you could hear-n-no, if you could feel me right now. . . ." your tone was shaky, often cracking as it did so. But Sans couldn't help but purse his nonexistent lips. All that ever sunk into his mind was that . . . you were scared. That behind those cheery, wonderful smiles. Those kind natured attitude you gave towards them monsters. Behind those was something else. Was something different. Behind those was fear. And maybe . . . that's all you've ever felt for the first time you fell.
For God's sake, you even broke your bones! Yet you were still smiling so kindly! You had been killed by him dozens of times! Your life was limited for who knows how long! You were blind now! Yet you were still smiling and treating the both of them kindly! Forgive and love. That's how you roll.
And seeing this new side of you? It was . . . not the best thing to see. You wiped your tears and slowly breathed, Sans got up and made a rustling noise. Making you startled.
He might as well keep this as a secret to himself for a while. . . .
