Skye's Pov
"Hey Skye! If you haven't met her already, this is Everest." Rosie says meeting up with me in the hallway.
"Oh hey Everest! So nice to finally meet you, I'm Skye!!" I beam, giving Everest a hug and then Rosie. Just one look at Everest and I can already tell that we would get along great. Now I'm no Regina George but I do have standards for my friends. Beauty and glamor has never been a requirement but it's hard for me to stay friends with a girl for long if she doesn't at least take interest in it, and it's obvious that Everest does, but in a very mild way. Her style is authentic and her appearance is flattering and fitting. She is naturally beautiful but the way she accessorizes makes her drop dead gorgeous. No wonder "I'm-not-the-boyfriend-type" Rocky couldn't keep his eyes off her. I apologize, I could go on and on about fashion and appearance.
"Oh my gosh it's so nice to meet you!" She says with a smile. She seems shy and timid but in a modest way. It's almost as if she doesn't understand her full potential. Her and Rocky would be perfect for each other! But I'm not setting them up based on what happened last time I did that with him.. No thanks. Let's just say he doesn't do well with blind dates or forced relationships, but hey, who does?
"I have first lunch, so if y'all wanna come sit with me I'd love the girl company." I say giggling.
"Count me in!" Rosie says cheerfully.
"I'd love to." Everest says softly giggling.
We get to our table and the boys shortly arrive. Marshall sits next to Rosie, whose across from me and chase sits beside me, and the rest fill in. Rocky and Zuma have second lunch so they're probably in their next classes.
"So Everest, where are you from?" Rubble asks with a big smile. He's probably got the biggest heart of us all. We are all loyal to our friend group and would do literally anything for everyone of us but when it comes to outsiders, we're not always the most reliable. Rubble always has been though, and he truly cares for others, no matter who they are. That's what I love about him. He has the ability to see beyond the face everyone puts on to fit in. He doesn't seem like the kind of character to do so saying he's the biggest and most popular jock in school, but since he doesn't care what others think and he talks to who he wants and hangs out with who he wants because he genuinely accepts them for who they are, it's started to rub off on a few of the more relentless pups at school since we all look up to him.
"Oh I'm from Alaska, I just got here last week." Her voice seems worn and scratchy, kind of higher pitched than Rosie's but softer and raspier.
"Alaska huh? What made you come here?" Chase chimes in.
"Mm dunno, my parents won't tell me.." She says kinda blowing off his question. I pick up on her signal that she wants to drop the conversation, so I step in.
"Rosie you're from France right?" I ask.
"Oui, haha!" She teases.
"FRANCE?? What the fuck?! That's awesome!!" Marshall says. "I couldn't even tell!!"
Rosie giggles again, "Yup, moi parle français! But I was the best in my English class so as expected." She winks and laughs again.
"Woowww, say something else in French!!" Marshall says hypnotized by her 'super power'.
"Hmmm.." She starts. "Marshall est mignon!" She giggles.
"What's that mean??" Says the Spanish-taking Marshall.
"You're slick Rosie, I like your style." I say with a smirk, I wasn't going to blow her cover. I take French so I can understand regular words and formations. She said 'Marshall is cute'. That was so mignon I can't stand it! Hahaha!!
