"I think I dropped something!" The Joker yelled out, that malicious grin etched into his skin like a crack that would remain forever in his features. The grin, most of it was make up. You looked closer, eyes locked in on the green haired pale monster in a mech suit in fear. There was portions of his mouth that were actually carved open, but to make it more dramatic it's like she ran his lips through with bright red hot crayons and let it melt into the openings over his face. Then went over it with lipstick.
Jason saw you freeze up. Jason's heard about Batman, never really seen him face-to-face. But everyone knew the Joker from some of his stupid little stunts he pulled, especially his most infamous one a couple Christmases back. But Jason knew you'd seen the Joker before, actually you've spoken to him. IT wasn't speaking, it was more begging.
Jason bit down on his lip as he watched your eyes widen, your index finger twitched a bit as your body seemed to have frozen solid, almost as if he could feel the coldness coming off of your body while you go limp under his body.
Your breathing was shaking, eyes watering from the memory that surged through your delicate mind. Jason wasn't there with you when it happened, but he could have. And that much worried him, and it also pissed him off. you could have been removed from the room when the incident took place if he was with you the very first time you had visited your mother in the Asylum. IF he had just come with you, you wouldn't be so scared right now.
"(Y/n), see if Batman's okay." Jason quickly got off of you, holding your hand and pulling you up, holding both hands on either of your cheeks and locking eye contact with you. His hands were warm, your face was cold. It was like you were looking right no past Jason, as if to see through his body to see the Joker giggling manically in the purple and green Mechanical suit he wore that gave a good few feet to his height.
Jason didn't understand why, he had an urge to help. Like he needed to do this. As if he has to. He didn't so much slap you in the face, but when he re-pressed his palm to your cold cheeks with only the smallest hint of pressure was when you were snapped out of your thought. Jason didn't know why he was doing this, it was like he wasn't even in control of his own body as the two of you ran towards the passed out Batman that had been thrown past the two of you in the alley.
Jason knew he wasn't a hero, but he ran straight for the Joker in his large body-fitted Machine and attempted to knock it over, while you started scanning your eyes over the wounds on the Batman. Not even a year ago you were sitting in the bat mobile trying to hold back tears.
"Hey! Hand's off my stuff." The Joker bellowed out, he sounded annoyed but that idiotic laughter rang through his words and accompanied the words he spoke.
Jason's plan to do that didn't work, but when the Joker aimed out some sort of gun that looked way too advanced and large to be something that just shot normal bullets and aimed it at both you and the Batman. Not sure if he was aiming at you or Batman, but the size of that thing? It would have taken the both of you out and then some.
Jason turned on his heel and ran back towards the two of you, again, and not only did it take all of your strength but some of his to shove Batman out of the way. You nicked your ankle against the dumpster and groaned loudly in pain.
"Hey, dontcha get it Junior?! I knocked him out, that's huge for me! First time again in months!" Joker yelled, his sadistic cackle at the end of his words caused you to cringe. Jason grabbed one of Batmans wrists with both hands, and you copied the action. This guy was so damn heavy, he probably had so much muscle, under that suit that didn't exactly make him very light. So adding on muscles, and the suit, and weapons and gadgets? Yeah, two teenage kids were able to drag him to a more secure area.
He had blood running down his cowl, from his nose, from his mouth, from his forehead. He must have taken a pretty good hit to the head. You leaned down towards the Batman's face and placed an index finger under where you assumed his nose was, you felt slight air drafts. Which meant he was breathing. Just barely. You felt some sort of relief, sighing softly to yourself as your face went from scared to calm. You tightened the green and black jacket around yourself a bit, shuddering slightly.
