The Take Over

It has been a few days since the banishment on me was put up by Kuvo. I learned many things about my pack by then. I seen that this was one big family here. I felt alone though. I felt like an outcast all the while. Few of the other wolves spoke to me and when I seen them look at me, they had sadness in their eyes. I wonder why sometimes. Today I was to make an announcement of my leadership. Then the meeting of the packs was to happen right afterwards. It was all too much at one time for me to handle.

"Sapphire, they await your speech. They are all sitting impatiently out there."

"Alright Cloud. I will be out in a minute, let me just calm down for a sec."

"Yes ma'am, as you wish."

I was alone once more. I got my poppy seeds and popped them into my mouth. They calm me when I am nervous. I then got up and went outside. Cloud was right, they was all sitting impatiently but got quiet and still when they saw me. I knew I was to take my place as their Alpha today.

"My fellow brothers and sisters, I have made this meeting today so I could make an announcement. I am taking my place as your Alpha. Your deputy is Cloud. We will become allies with the Sun and Moon pack and shall beware the Shadow pack. I heard rumors about them and none of it is good. Patrols with be regular until I am sure that our bounderies are safe. Hunting patrol is to be sent out 3 times a day, two patrols each. After I get done here, I am going to meet the other Alphas about what will happen from now on. With me being your new Alpha, I take the responcibility in guiding, teaching, and learning from this pack and others. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you. If you need something when I am not here, ask Cloud about it. Consider yourselves dismissed!" I said quickly looking at each and every wolf. I noticed a lot of white wolves with few grey and even fewer black. I saw a tan wolf here and there but the majority was white which leads to the name, Diamond pack. I had to leave to meet with the other wolves though I did fear for my life from it. Kuvo was still mad at me, and Shadow Fang was definetly mad at me for making him make a new pack. I didnt know what to do about them. Make things worst, I had to meet with Shadow pack by myself. I had to leave because it was almost sun up and the meeting was at dawn.

"Alpha, you need to go if you are gonna make it to the meeting in time."

"I know, Cloud. I am headed out now. Take care of the pack while I am gone."

"Yes ma'am."

I left Cloud giving orders to the pack. I had to get to the meeting on time. Nothing was gonna stop me from getting there. It was nearly dawn when I finally arrived. Kuvo was already there but Shadow was no where to be seen. So we wasn't sitting in ackward silence I greeted Kuvo for the first time during the banishment.

"Hello Kuvo, thank you for arriving early. I hope you wasn't waiting to long."

"Nah Lucy, wasn't waiting long enough." He said. I could hear the sadness in his voice and the sad hope in his eyes. I felt sorry and sad all of a sudden. I didn't realise how much I missed him. Apparently he missed me, too.

"Well, I am sorry to keep you waiting, surely I thought that Shadow would have been here early but it appears I was wrong."

"That isn't all you was wrong about..." he mumbled. His and my head jerked toward the rustling leaves to our leaf to see Shadow step into the clearing.

"Welcome Shadow. We may start the meeting now. Shadow, since you was the last alpha of Diamond pack, I would be obliged with you tell us the old rules."

"Thank you, Sapphire. The old rules of the Sun, Moon, and Diamond pack it to not fight against each other, but to fight with each other. The patrols were not aloud to go past anyone elses bounderies unless it was for a message. Hunting patrols was to hunt all animals on their side and their side alone. Boundery patrols are to mark the bounderies of the pack regularly. If any meeting was to be called, it was to be during the full moon and the howl must been set three days before hand. If anyone broke these rules they was to be punished by banishment, death, and lowering of rank."
