Ahsoka & Anakin Tribute: Kill the Light ^^^
"Luke! Luke, come back here!"
A five year-old Luke dashed on his little legs, barely able to contain his squealing giggles of excitement as he pulled himself around the cruiser, attempting to hide from his father.
"Luke, come out, come out, wherever you are!" He heard his father's sing-song voice resonate from nearby and he felt a trill of anticipation course through his tiny body, certain his father had no idea where he was. He inhaled loudly, holding his breath as he waited to see if his father found him or passed by unaware.
For a long, baiting moment, the soundlessness was deafening, the world seeming to as well hold its breath for what was to come, until, without an ounce of warning, the youthful features of Anakin Skywalker leaped out from the shadows, the widest of grins plastered to his lips.
"I found you," he purred warmly, scooping the boy up effortlessly into his arms while the boy wriggled slightly, shrieking in pure joy.
"Daaaadddd! Put me down! Put me down!" Luke cried with all the air in his lungs, laughing ceaselessly.
"Nuh-uh, little squirt," his father chuckled teasingly. "This is the only way to stop you from running away from me! Your daddy here can only take so much!"
Luke knew his father was joking. He was the most powerful Jedi in the galaxy! He could take anything!
Anakin carried his son around the small cruiser that had been prepared for the long journey ahead. Artoo and Threepio had already boarded the shuttle with his dear wife waiting by the landing platform, holding the hand of a small girl with beautiful brunette hair, just like her mother. Luke smirked mischievously down at his sister below him and even poked his tongue out, just for good measure.
Padme Amidala-Skywalker giggled softly. "Playing hide 'n seek again, I see?"
His father released a baritone laugh of his own in return. "Something like that. He is a natural escapee."
"He's just like his father," his mother beamed warmly.
"Do we get to see the Palace?" Leia added, tugging at her mother's sleeve excitedly.
"Oh, you get to more than see it," Anakin smiled at his daughters naivety. "You just wait and see..."
He gave his wife a swift peck on the cheek before placing Luke down and gripping the boys hand as to keep him from running away again. "Come on, let's get going..."

Hirinous stirred violently, his entire frame jolting upwards, the covers flying from him as his lungs convulsed with ragged gasps and gulps for air. His glaring yellow eyes flew around the shadowy corners of his frigid room, specks of icy blue glimmering in them for the first time since his plunge into darkness. It took him a moment for memory to flood back to him within his flurry of panic, yet once it had, he shivered weakly, lowering himself cautiously back onto the mattress below.
He'd merely dreamed of Luke Skywalker's happiest memory of his childhood, yet to Hirinous, it was his greatest fear, his worst nightmare...
Each night for the past week had been clotted with these menacing nightmares, gnawing at the soul that constantly rejected them, stabbing at the heart that was a shattered black hole. And yet, even that factor wasn't even the most horrible part...
Skywalker was returning...
With each laboured breath, with each erratic heartbeat, with each second that his eyes were shut, Hirinous could feel his past self seeping back into its own homeless being, like ceaselessly trickling water as it attempted to take back what rightful belonged to it. With each morning that he bowed at his master's feet, he'd conceal it in Pandora's box, praying that Sidious wouldn't sense the light gradually returning, fearing further punishment and even his life...
He wished to hate his father, as Sidious had instructed...and yet he couldn't...for he could find nothing to hate...and even if Sidious was right about his father, he just couldn't bring himself to feel pure vengeance towards the man that had been his savour, his guardian, his light for his entire life...
Yet he loathed Luke Skywalker with a passion... He would rip himself apart just so he didn't have to see the shadows of his former self in his tainted features... But he couldn't rid himself of him, the horrid, tiny voice pleading within the back of his mind...calling him back to the light...making him merciful...
He felt like shrieking in pure outrage at the corruption that was festering within his person, yet only a sob broke loose from his lips, Skywalker's weakness returning to him once more... He was no longer certain that he enjoyed relishing in the darkness anymore... He didn't want to be Hirinous... Yet he didn't want to be Luke either...
Then who was he?...

Luke's finally coming back to himself! Will it last? I hope so!
