Chapter9

Two days later

Alexis

I was so scared of what I saw. I just stood there staring at it. My heart sank.

I then walked out my room to get something to eat cause I was dying inside. As I walked down the stairs I passed by Malak who tried to talk to me.

"Alexis please talk to me."

I just continued to walk down the stairs.

I grabbed leftover pizza and warmed it up. I also did the same to the hot wings I had for lunch yesterday which was the last thing I ate then.

"Alexis please I'm tired of being ignored."

"Just like my feelings were ignored."

"It wasn't ignored."

I scoffed and took the wings and pizza out the microwave, grabbed a water bottle and walked back up stairs.

After complete silence I put my stuff on my desk and saw Malak staring at me.

"You can't ignore forever."

"Yes the fuck I can."

"CAN YOU JUST EASE STOP WITH THE BULLSHIT. YOU ARE ACTING CHILDISH."

"YOU GOT ME UPSET. YOU DID THIS TO ME, YOU PUT WHAT IS-

I stopped before I could regret anything.

"What is it?"

"Just leave me alone and let me eat in peace."

"Man whatever." He said walking out and closing the damn door. Finally I could eat in peace.

Days later

Malak

The bet is finally over with me and Jessica. Hallelujah!
But the sad is that it's  been more than a week since me or Alexis talked and I'm starting to get scared for her. She literally hates my guts. Every time I walk in the same as her she literally drops everything and walks out. I don't even know if she has eaten yet. Today would make it out one week anniversary. I know I'm cheesy but I love her so much. I finally manned up and walked up the stairs. It's Saturday and my hotline is blinding but I was focused on her. I needed her. As I got closer to her room, I had second thoughts but I opened the door and walked to her quietly.

"Alexis."

There was no response yet I saw her standing in her room going through her phone with just her panties on and her bra. I also noticed she was thicker than before. I could tell she was crying cause her eyes were puffy. I looked around her room and saw a whole bunch of tissues in the floor.

"Look you have to talk to me sometime." I said.

It was still quiet.

"Please just say somethin-

"Malak I'm pregnant."

"Whaa-."

I almost passed out.

I stood there quiet. I didn't know what to say.

"Please say something now Malak."

"I- I." I stuttered trying to get words out my mouth.

She came up to me and placed her hand on my face.

"Please." She started tearing up again.

I just grabbed her and hugged her. I- imma be a dad.

"It's okay baby."

"No it's not, what am I gonna tell mom and dad?"

"Don't tell them anything, we'll- we'll just get an abortion."

That was probably the worst thing I have ever said.

"Are you crazy?"

"I'm sorry I just- listen Alexis I'll be there for you. Don't worry."

"How can I be sure of that?"

"Cause you having my baby, I can't let you go. I love you too much for that."

"Tell why then."

"Why what?"

"Why did you kiss and slept with Jessica?"

"Cause when she saw us kiss, she was gonna tell so I made a deal to her and she said we had to date and everything and I don't want anything happening to you so I said yes but it's over now."

"Do you love me?"

"Of course."

I said with confidence.

"Good that's all I need to hear."

She came close to me and kissed me. I slowly kissed back. I led her to the bed and laid her down.

She let go. "Mhm not now."

I nodded and pulled in the cover close to us. I then turned on the tv. And we both ended up falling asleep.
