Luke ran and closed both doors that led to the ballroom and placed the table that they used earlier for eating, against the door preventing anything from getting in.
"Plan now, run yeah but plan." Damien's voice grew louder and he was anxious to get a plan together before running blindly into danger. Because we knew there were more of these things by the minute.
"We go about it as when we came down." Antonio spat out through the pain. You could see by his badly illuminated face that he could not bare the pain in his leg much longer.
"This place has almost everything doesn't it have by chance a medical wing." I muttered it just so the people who cared would hear it and Damien and Michael look at me.
"Actually there is one on the second floor, we came across it while searching for secret passages." Michael said and Antonio look at him with hope in his eyes.
"How far down the hall is it?" Damien asked with hope of it not being far.
"At the bottom of the hallway." Michael responded quickly and the hope drained from Antonio's face.
"Fuck, your not going to go there are you?" Johnny barked.
"If it was you, would you want us to go there?" Luke asked in a harse voice.
"Hell yeah!" Johnny exclaimed.
"Then it's settled we go to the hospital wing and then to the third floor." Damien interrupted before anyone could start arguing and he stared Johnny down so he would not continue the conversation. But even though I wanted Antonio to get help I really think we should get the salt first and on the one hand I don't really know if it really works. It's not like I have tried it before this is all new to me but the salt was the only thing that was in most of the ghost movies that I've seen.
"Why don't we first get the salt and if it works we can go to the hospital wing and then make an isolated area so we can help Antonio and be safe as well." Damien looked at me and hesitates to speak but Antonio jumped in before a word could leave his mouth.
"He is right. One of you may also get hurt on the way and then we will be a lot slower and may not reach the kitchen in time." Everybody looked over at Antonio and Johnny had a slight victorious grin on his face.
Damien crouched down on his knees and ran his hand trough his hair as if in deep thought.
"The kid's got a point Dam." Luke responded but not out of place.
"Fine but let's do it quickly the distance may not seem long but the trouble we may face along the way can make it the longest path ever so does anyone have any suggestions on how to go about it as swiftly and as painless as possible?" And Damien glared over the men but did not turn to me or Charoline for advice. I think he was annoyed by us having more ideas then him and his men.
"Well our guns don't do any good." Michael said and walked over to the rubble of blown up chair pieces and picked up a rough plank before continuing. "But we can try and fight these things off." Everybody grabbed a piece of wood to defend with even me and Charoline grabbed a piece. Edric was the only defenceless person and still blindfolded. But he looked like he was sleepy so I placed him on my hip but Damien took him from me.
"He is to heavy for you and would slow you down...I'll keep him safe." A slight smile crossed my face and I went over and grabbed another piece of wood to carry in my other hand.
"So do we just go or what?" Michael broke my smile as we all looked over to Damien.
"Yeah we head to the third floor and we go straight to the kitchen where the kids go through everything and find the salt then we use a little to see if it works and if it does we get to the medical wing as fast as we can." Damien didn't really have a plan other then the obvious but yeah someone had to state it.
