Another Runaway Story

Chapter 3

2 days later......

" Snake, we need more food. We're running out" said Jessica. " fine. We'll stop at this gas station." Responded snake. Jessica rummaged through her pockets while Snake parked. " I got 20 bucks and 51 cents and a paperclip, I'll pay" said Jessica . " No I'll pay, besides, technically since I live in the van, your my guest." Jessica crumpled the money in frustration and put it back in her pocket.

Jessica and Snake walked in the gas store and bough 6 bags of chips and 4 sandwiches. " want anything, candy? Special type of soda? Cupcakes? Cookies?" Asked Snake. " Nah I'm good." Responded Jessica. While snake walked out with the items he bought, Jessica grabbed 2 diet sodas and two chocolate covered Carmel sticks. " miss, that'll be $4 sevent- hey aren't you that runaway girl. I've seen you on the news. I'm calling the police right away , stay here." Jessica put $5 on the counter and ran out the door with the items. " Snake... We gotta go, like NOW " yelled Jessica. Needing no explanation, Snake grabbed the stuff out of Jessica's arm and put it in the van. They both drived off until night came. " wow, you couldn't just come along and leave with me and not be alerted. Man what did you just HAD to get?" Asked Snake. He grabbed the the items and saw the sodas and his favorite treat. " gosh. I'm sorry ok. I just wanted to buy you something. Be nice, that's just all GEEZ." Responded Jessica. " kid you didn't have to." " but I wanted to." Responded Jessica. The both enjoyed the diet soda and the Carmel sticks on the side on a mountain parking lot watching the sunset while listening to music on the radio.
