Broken and Alone

Chapter 2 : The Chance Encounter

After i past the mansion gate I quickly ran to the woods and locate the tree where i kept my things for emergences such as this. I quickly gathered my things and called a taxi to go the airport so I can get the first plane ticket out of here. Once the cab arrived to the airport I give the taxi driver a wad of money and said "keep the change". Then grabbed all my belongings and rushed to the check in counter. I manage to get a last minute flight ticket to America. I chose this flight because i am quite use to America considiring a lot of my "mission" is to assassinate people in America so at least I know how to locate things and hopely find a job. I know I am supposed to go to school but it is too dangerous especially since my mother will check every security camera known to man. "Last call for passengers boarding to America" the announcer's vioce broke me out of my reverie and I quickly grabbed my stuff and went to flight.

Once I boarded the flight i did not relax until I take out my laptop and check all the passengers on the plane if there was any suspicious passengers on board but there wasn't any so eventually I relaxed and fall asleep. I woke up the captain telling us that we were about to land and to fasten your seatbelt. I was having a nightmare about my mother saying " I will find you and when I get my hands on you will wish you never ran away" in a sinister voice. I got spooked by the dream that I had to tell myself that I was safe and miles away from my mother but i knew i was lying to myself I will never be safe as long as my mother is alive. On the bright side after I got of the plane and went to the arrival place I found a small rest house that was not many poeple know about it on the internet. I called a cab and minutes later the driver was driving on the busy road. It was 30 minutes later that i decided to walk myself since we were still stuck in lunch hour traffic. I told the driver to stop by the road and ask him how much was the ride he answered "$30 miss". I gave the right amount of cash and went to the back of the car to grab my stuff and i was on my way to the rest house by foot. I memerised the way so I had no problem finding my way there.

I was enjoying the secenery and lost in my own thoughts that I accidently bump into someone."Offf" the person I bump into said while falling on her butt."Oh I am so sorry I didn't look where i was going" I apologise to the girl once I look down and hoping that she was not the drama queen type as I helped her up."That's not a problem i was also going to fast and didn't look where I was going. My name is Sarah. What's yours?" she said it all in one breath. I was a little taken a back she look like the typical pretty American girl with her long blonde hair and sky blue eyes. I recovered quickly and said "my name is Jasmine" without any emotion giving her my fake name and hoping she got the hint that I don't want to talk her anymore but she didn't as she keep on asking me question so fast that I almost couldn't catch up. I only manage to answer her last question which was "where do you live?".This was an easy question I just answered " I don't have a home i am an orphan". I thought that was it and she would leave me alone but instead she squealed and said "Oh My Gosh!! you can totally live with me. My mom always wanted another daughter and now she doesn't have to go to the orphanage anymore!!". I just look at her like she was crazy but apparently she didn't notice as she was already dragging me to what I'm guessing is her home. "Wait!! I never agreed to this!!" I said to her. "You have no where to go and no place to stay. Think of my place as a home for you live. My family will love to meet you". Even though what she is saying is true I wasn't so sure. I didn't want to endanger such a nice girl but with her so ditermine for me to meet her family I think i will give it a try.
