when you laugh it gives me hope.
when you smile it gives me hope.
your voice gives me hope.
your eyes give me hope.
but isn't hope, well just that—hope
a simple wish or desire that you pray will come true
but we live in a world lacking fairy godmothers.
so i'll wish upon a star although it means nothing
and i'll look in your soul for solace although i mean nothing to you.
