Dear Diary.........

Okay, so normally I wouldn't ever start a diary with "Dear Diary", all written in fancy pink ink, but seeing as my brother thinks I'm that kind of girly girl, he got me a diary with exactly that printed at the top of every page. But I suppose I'll somehow manage to forgive him, Naruto's family after all.

It's been only a few hours since Naruto left Konoha to go and train with Pervy Sage and I'm already starting to feel lonely. I've got the apartment to myself which is fine if I knew Naruto was coming home in a few hours, but he's not. He will be gone for more than just a few hours, three years to be exact. I'm starting to realize how lonely my brother has been these past years of his life. Living alone is something no one should ever really put up with. Which makes me think, maybe Naruto should get a roommate!

Earlier, I went out to have a little snoop around the village, mainly to get some food in for the rest of the week but also to see if anyone else was around. I bumped into Iruka Sensei a couple of times, Naruto had always liked Iruka Sensei.

'Kasumi? Long time no see,' he greeted me with a grin at the grocery store.

'Hi Iruka Sensei,' I returned with my own smile.

'Did you go to see Naruto off?' he asked me. I nodded, smiling.

'Yep I followed him to the gates and watched him go until I couldn't see him anymore,' I told Sensei.

'How about I buy you some ramen? I treated your brother to some just before he left,' Iruka Sensei asked. I agreed and Iruka Sensei treated me to a big bowl of ramen. He asked me where I'd be training.

'With Kakashi Sensei,' I grinned. 'But the only thing is, he's always late,' I mumbled, resting my chin on my hand and pouting a little. Iruka Sensei smiled and slurped up some ramen.

'I'm sure he has his reasons, Kasumi,' he told me. Reasons? What reasons? I'd carried on eating, listening to Iruka Sensei telling me about some of my brother's finest moments. I nearly choked on my ramen when Iruka Sensei told me about when Naruto graffitied over the Hokage heads!

After I'd eaten my ramen, I found out that Naruto kind of owed him from earlier. So I paid him the money for all the ramen. I headed back to the appartment, in no rush. I came in the door, packed everything away, gave the apartment another quick clean and then picked up my pen and began writing in here.

I'm looking at what Naruto left for me, not much. But he's left me the photo of Team 7. I've just picked it up and I'm looking at it. It almost seems unreal. Naruto's gone, Sasuke's gone, and so is Sakura, I think it's just me and Sensei left. Now that I think about it, it makes me feel pretty sad. I'm sighing to myself now, just taking in the loneliness. I can't see why my big brother hasn't gone mental, I've not been alone that long and I'm already starting to feel a bit loopy. I suppose I'll have to go out and do something youthful, like hanging with Lee-kun and TenTen, or catching up with Ino, Shika and Choji. My training starts early tomorrow, maybe it's best that I get an early night's sleep, I have a strange feeling that Sensei will be turning up late tomorrow, even though he's insisted that I turn up dead on 4. I think I'll go to sleep now.

But how do I end a diary entry? I'll just keep it simple, something that Naruto would say, short and snappy, just to end it right here. Ah, I've got one, I'm going to test it now.

Dattebayo.

Yep, that works. This diary entry is officially over, until the next time!

Dattebayo!
