Chapter 4 : She Wakes Up

Hanna's P.O.V
It's been a month since Alison slipped into her coma. We all basically moved into her hospital room. Bradley never leaves her side. He's always there holding her hand and whispering things into her ear. Katie's been a sobbing, emotional mess. Jasmine refuses to eat until she sees her best friend but James always gets her to eat anyways. I think they've started to date. I don't know. I've basically been unresponsive this past month. I miss her so much. She's here but it's almost like she's not.

Connor's P.O.V
All month I've been by Hanna's side helping her with anything she needs. I feel so bad for her. She's unresponsive most of the time. She needs help to move because if she moves by herself she'll literally run into something, because she's been so consumed in her thoughts. I hope Alison wakes up soon because I can't stand to see Hanna like this anymore. It's breaking me. I still haven't asked her out because I don't think she can handle a relationship right now. I'll have to wait till Alison is awake and Hanna is responsive.

1 WEEK LATER
Bradley's P.O.V
I'm emotionally broken. My princess is basically fighting for her life because a drunk driver couldn't stay off the road. He's been charged with a DWI. I'm glad they got him and he didn't run off or else I would've been pissed. I'm currently driving home from the hospital to take a quick shower and bring over some stuff to the hospital. When I get home I walk up to the front door and unlock it. Everyone else stayed at the hospital just in case Alison woke up. All of a sudden the ringing of my phone interrupts my thoughts. The caller I.D reads Tristan...

"Hello?" I say.
"Dude, you gotta get to the hospital," he states.
"Why?" I ask urgently.
"Alison woke up," he says.

With that I end the call as fast as possible and sprint to my car. I start driving to the hospital as fast as possible, but not too fast cause I don't wasn't to get a ticket. As soon as I get to the hospital I park my car and sprint to her hospital room. I push open the door to reveal Alison talking to Jasmine and Hanna. Everyone else must've left to go get some food.

"Hey," I say and hug Alison.
"Hey," She says hugging me back.
"How ya feeling ?" I ask.
"I could've been better," She responds.
"We've all been worried sick about you," I say.
"That's sweet ," she whispers and hugs me.

The hug is cut short when a screeching sound enters the room. Oh it's Katie. She must have not seen Alison since she woke up. I left the room to give them some space so they could catch up.

Katie's P.O.V
As soon as I heard the news about Alison waking up , I started sprinting up to her hospital room. The day I finally leave her room to get some air she wakes up. Geez. As soon as I enter the room I see Ali hugging Bradley.. Oops I hope I didn't interrupt a moment but who cares I haven't talked to her in almost 1 1/2 month. As Ali realizes I've entered the room she smiles and opens her arms towards me for a hug. I couldn't help it , I started to tear up. She's my best friend what do you expect.

"When you get outta here we've got to have a girls night," I whisper in her ear.
"Sure, thing,"She replies.

1 DAY LATER
Jasmine's P.O.V
I'm so happy!!! Today Alison gets released from the hospital and me and the girls planned to have a girls night with her. Of course we have to be careful because she's still fragile from the accident since she broke her ankle. The doctor gave her some crutches so it would be easier for her to move around. It took a lot of convincing but Bradley finally agreed for us to have a girls night with Ali. He wanted to spend some quality time with her but he said he could do that tomorrow.

" Ready to go ?" Bradley asks Ali since we all just walked into her hospital room.

" Yep,"she responds.

"Good," Bradley says as he helps her up and then lifts her bridal style so she didn't have to use her stupid,crappy crutches.

As were walking to the car James wraps his arm around my shoulder and smiles at me. I smile back and lean into his side. Yes , we've started dating about a month ago,but I'm already in love with him. Of course we haven't exchanged the 'I love you' yet but I hope to soon. When we get to the car I slide in next James and he immediately wraps his arm around my shoulder again. Then I realize something. Tomorrows Hanna's birthday. With everything going on I completely forgot. Me and everyone else need to talk in secret tonight without Hanna knowing. Maybe after she falls asleep?? I'm snapped out of my thoughts when we arrive at home.. I get out and watch as Bradley gets out of the car like a lightning bolt to help Alison. She smiles as he lifts her bridle style once again and carries her into the house. They have such a good relationship. I think everyone's started dating each other except Hanna and Connor. I feel bad for them because I know they both adore each other. The only reason there not dating is neither of them have the guts to ask the other out. As we walk into the house I see Bradley and Ali sitting on the couch. I sit next to her and we start talking while Bradley plays on his phone.

"So do you remember what tomorrow is," I ask Ali.

"Sorry,but I don't even know the date," She answers truthfully.

"Tomorrow's Hanna's birthday," I tell her.

"Oh," was all she said. After she said that she immediately looks down.

I think she feels ashamed that she forgot her own best friends birthday, but how was she supposed to know ?? She's been in a coma for awhile. It's about 9 o'clock pm when we all drift off to sleep..
