Aki and Neo were starting their first day at a new school. They got moved around so much, they hadn't finished 1 year of school in the same place. Their parents died in a car crash when they were 13. The government didn't put them in foster care, partly because they didn't want to split up the twins and both of them could earn enough money to live in a house together and provide for each other.

Both of them were very close to the other, I mean, who wouldn't be close to a person you've lived in the same house with for 15 years (although they had lived alone together for 2 years). Anyways, they were very protective of each other. When either of them was upset, the other was the only person they would talk to.

Neo was a shy person usually, and he didn't really like talking to anyone or anything other than his sister. He also didn't like human contact. But, when it came to keeping things from hurting her, he would be the complete opposite. He would do almost anything for her, you know, besides killing himself or something drastic like that.

Aki was a calm, nice, smart, person, but like everyone else, she had a dark side. When she got angry (which didn't happen often) her hair would flash a blue-ish color. She would protect Neo too, although he didn't need it as often as she did. The same thing applies for her, she would do just about anything for Neo.
"Aki! Hurry up! We're gonna be late for the first day, and when the teacher asks I'm gonna blame it on you!" Neo shouted at her from the kitchen, which was right next to the room they shared. Yes, they shared rooms. They were so used to it, they didn't even think about searching for a 2 bedroom apartment when they were trying to find a place to live.

"Uggh! Do I have to? I don't wanna get up yet." Aki said, pulling the covers down over her head, only to have Neo rip them off a moment later.

"Come on Aki! I don't want to go as much as you... hehehe." Neo laughed while grinning menacingly. "Hey! Scoot over! You're taking up so much room!" He said while trying to push her over a little. Now, I know what you're thinking 'Why the hell are they sharing a bed?'. They hadn't shared beds since when they were 13. They shared beds for half a year after their parents died. Today was the anniversary of their parents death.

"Fine." she scooted over enough for him to fit into the bed with her. "But, if there is spit anywhere near me when I wake up, prepare to be smothered by a pillow."

He chuckled at her threats, because he knew they were empty. She wouldn't ever kill him. Maybe, hurt him a little, you know, like jabbing him in the side, or something that would hurt for a split second, and then the pain would go away. "OK! I won't drool!" He said, but she was already fast asleep, her head resting on her hands. "Goodnight, Aki." He whispered, barely audible. He rolled over, placing his back against hers. He heard her mumble in her sleep. He let himself fall asleep, breathing in sync with her.
