The Tunnels

Part one

            "This was a great idea, all of us out in the woods just being us" Sky said sitting against a tree with his sweaty hands behind his head and his shades glistening from the fires glow "yeah it was we can be out here for a while and just be ourselves instead of having jobs" Ty moaned as grumpy as he always is "Ty, you didn't have to go with us if you didn't want to you know that right?" Mitch said picking up a rock and throwing it over Jerome "Mitch did you just throw a rock at me dude" Jerome asked when he heard the rock hit the tree behind him and Mitch shook his head.

              "Jason are you alright there man" Sky asked looking at his friend who was kicking his foot in the dirt as he always did when he felt mad, sad or stressed and Ty continued to moan "lighten up Ty and quit moaning you are going to make me get another migraine" Mitch slightly complained picking up another rock and tossing it into the fire. Ty sat up slowly and he looked really mad which kept Sky on alert "then why don't you quit being a priss then?!" Ty muttered and Mitch looked at him and they both stood up at the same time with hands curled into fists and everyone knew they would both start hitting each other and Jerome got between them and held his arms out to keep them from each other "stop it you two, that is enough picking on each other" Jerome said and Ty shoved him to the ground "get out of my way" Ty growled and punched Mitch across the face making him fall to the cold ground and he stood up.

     Sky shot up from his spot and held Ty back and Jerome held Mitch back so they wouldn't do something they would regret. Jason looked at them his eyes widened and he stood up slowly and walked over to a tree and started to hit his head on the trunk of the old tree and all he heard was his friends yelling at each other in the background but started to block them out and he heard Sky calling his name "Jason dude stop hitting your head on the tree man" Sky said now standing by him and Jason looked at him and he glanced around at his friends who had a few bruises. "Why don't we all turn in for the night and get some shut eye" Jason suggested and they all climbed into their sleeping bags, once everyone was asleep Jason climbed up a pine tree and sat on a branch, he was trying to gather his thoughts about if it was a good idea for him to come up to the mountains with his friends :what is everyone's deal all they are doing is fighting: Jason shoved his thoughts away and he heard a crack from a few feet away it sounded like someone was walking towards them and in fact it sounded like someone was sprinting towards them and thoughts raced through his head like a wild fire in a forest. His instincts kicked in and he immediately leaped down from his spot and grabbed his pistol and he saw Mitch's eyes open and he sat up and looked at Jason.

"Jason whats going on" Mitch asked his brown eyes widened and Jason turned to face him "someone's coming this way and they are moving fast" Jason said now loading his pistol and Mitch stood up "everyone wake up" Mitch yelled and everyone shot up in surprise and they all stood up "what is going on" Sky asked and Jason looked at everyone's tired expressions "there is someone coming-" Jason paused to listen for the footsteps "and whoever it is isn't alone" Jason said and everyone looked at him and they grabbed their weapons. Jason's blue eyes widened when a knife went past him and hit the tree in front of him and he felt something running down his ear and he put his hand where it was and he pulled his hand away and saw it was blood, he turned around to see three people come sprinting out of the shadows and they stopped in front of the group of friends "who are you?!" Jason growled and one of them spoke up "the name is Jay and you are on our turf" Jay growled and he got in Jason's face "no one has a turf out here it's a free area" Ty spat. "You got something to say there dirt bag" Jay growled "back the hell off man" Sky growled and grabbed his sword and Jay punched Jason in the stomach and threw him to the ground and that was what triggered the others to attack, Sky ran into Jay's side and sent him tumbling to the ground "how is that for a hit" Sky growled "you hit like a girl" Jay smirked and punched Sky across the face and he slid backwards, Mitch grabbed his bow and drew it and aimed it at another guys head who was holding Jerome down and punching him and Jerome kicked him off and kicked him into a tree.  

Ty got to Jason's side and helped him up "dude are you okay" Ty asked and Jason's vision got blurry for a few second and he nodded to his friend "Ty duck" Jason said and a gunshot went off as he shot one of them in the chest sending his lifeless body to the ground and blood pooled from his chest and Jason's eyes widened so did everyone's and Jason's felt his heart pick up speed  like a rabbit being chased down by a pack  rabid wolfs and he didn't know how to react to what he just did.Sky fell to the ground after being punched across the face again rage blew up inside of Jason and he grabbed a spear off the ground and slammed it into Jay's chest as blood splattered onto his face his eyes widened and all fell silent Jerome had been pinned down again and was being hit over and over again and Mitch drew his bow once more and aimed it at the persons chest as he stood up to face him and he let go and the arrow slammed into the persons chest and sent him to the ground along with the others in their gang. 

Jason collapsed to his knees and the others hadn't eaten all night "guys I am gonna go hunting" Jason said and Mitch looked up "I am going with you" he said standing up and they sprinted into the distance "well looks like we have some cleaning up to do" Sky said and the others looked at him "i'm just kidding you guys, something else will probably smell the blood and do something with them" Ty looked at him and he moaned in his grumpy way as he always did. Mitch and Jason walked for about thirty minuets and then stopped when they saw two shadows dart around them and they got back to back "what in the name of hell are those" Jason asked and Mitch looked at the circling animals and had his bow ready to defend himself as did Jason one of the things launched itself at Mitch but Jason took the blow and was knocked to the ground from the force of the creatures impact and it bit him on the arm which made a splitting cracking noise that sent Mitch into a panic and he shot the thing in the side which knocked it off him long enough to help him up. "Mitch run" Jason yelled but Mitch didn't listen and he kicked another one in the neck which sent it into the shadows one leaped onto Mitch's back and bit his leg and it made a cracking sound which made him yell bloody murder and Jason raced to help his friend but was also taken down by another one and was bitten on the leg as well and he also yelled bloody murder.

Sky's eyes widened when he heard his friends painful cries and he shot up and grabbed his sword, Jerome grabbed his ax and Ty grabbed his sword and they plunged into the darkness and raced to help their friends and Mitch and Jason began to black out slowly and the thing got knocked off Mitch and his eyes widened and Jason heard Sky and Ty's footsteps getting closer "guys be careful their wolfs and they are stronger than they look" Jerome yelled "oh hell no!" Sky yelled and threw his sword into a wolfs back which sent it off Jason and Ty threw his sword into a wolfs side and impaled it to a tree "back off my friends you demon from hell" Ty snarled and the wolfs ran off into the night. Jerome stood by Mitch's body and fell noiselessly to his knees and hugged his friend "are you alright Mitch" Jerome asked quietly and Sky sat next to Jason's body, everyone was dead silent and than someone finally spoke "we need to get these two help" Sky said standing up and everyone looked at him like he was being dumb "where do you expect we can get help, we are lost out here" Ty said "we need to find shelter."
