Dad! Dad! I want to yell. But nothing leaves my mouth. My lips are sealed. There he is, in front of me. Dad stands in front of me. How is this possible!? He isn't dead! I want to place my hand on his shoulder and turn him around, but nothing happens. 'Dad..' I whisper. I'm shocked by how low my voice sounds. He turns around. My eyes open wide and I'm frozen. His... His eyes are.... Buttons. I take a step backwards and now I see the rope around his neck. He... Hangs. I want to puke. I feel dizzy and my heart beats like a possessed. 'Vanille...' he whispers. 'Dad!' I yell while I want to run towards him. I feel the ground under me moving and I fall down. I smack on the ground and have pain everywhere.

'Dad!' I yell while I start to hyperventilate. I sit and quickly look around. Faces. Faces everywhere. 'Who are you!'  I yell while I feel a hand on my forehead. I push it away with my own hand and feel a bandage. I look in front of me a handsome, short-haired guy with a stubble beard.

'Don't worry.' he says with deep and low voice but it's kind of awesome. 'We saved you,' he continues while he pushes on my back with one of his hands. I moan. 'It's a severe wound. Luckily enough I found you laying on the ground.' I blink and look at him. He's got a stubble beard,  short brown hair and a cute grin on his face.  He looks very kind. 'I'm Timothy.' he says. I smile and look around.

There are seven people around me. Only two male and the rest is female. My eye falls on one girl. She has straight, red hair and looks very concerned, about me probably.

'That is Verena.' I hear Timothy say. I am staring at her that obvious!? 'She is our cook. But, she is very clumsy.' Verena nods and then blushes. I guess she's a bit shy as well.. I look further and see two girls who really look like each other, they must be twins. Both long, blonde hair and exact the same expression on their faces.

'We're Delilah and Wynter.' They say at the exact same time. They point at each other while the names rolls over their lips. Delilah is the left one, with the light green maid-dress and Wynter the one with the blue dress.

'Delilah and Wynter are maids here.' Timothy says while Delilah and Wynter nod friendly. Those people here are all so perfect and pretty. It isn’t normal anymore!

‘This is my beautiful wife, Charlotte.’ Timothy says pointing at a really pretty woman. She has long blond hair, but not like Wynter and Delilah. It’s not gold. It’s more white-blonde. She also has beautiful ocean-blue eyes, I can even see a sparkle in them. ‘She’s the most perfect person in the world.’ He continues. I see Verena pointing with her finger in her mouth. I giggle.

  ‘What?’ Timothy asks frowning.

‘Nothing..’ I answer grinning. There are two more people. A girl with brown curling hair and very striking eyes. I don’t know why. They are a bit turquoise. She sees I’m looking at her and smiles.

‘I’m Jennifer!’ She says happily. ‘I’m the gardener here and keep the garden beautiful!’ I laugh and nod. Like I already saw the garden. I did. But in the dark, there wasn’t very much to see.

Oh! I almost forgot to introduce myself! ‘To all of you, I’m Vanille.’ I say smiling, then I realize that there’s one person left. I look at him. He’s handsome. Like all the people here. He’s got short brown hair and also a cute grin on his face, like Timothy did. He’s pretty tall and muscular.

‘I’m Bacchus.’ He says still grinning. ‘I’m Timothy’s butler.’  He looks at Timothy and Timothy nods. Just like he wanted his permission for something like that. Then he looks at me again. ‘Shall I point you your room?’ He asks politely. My room?

‘Yes please.’ I answer automatically. He pulls me up from this super deluxe couch and points at the stairs. Before I walk to it, I take a good look at the room I’m in now. Some red couches with golden pillows on it. A wooden table with all, I think, expensive decoration on it. Beautiful dark curtains and a dark wooden floor. It’s like in a castle where everyone dreamed of to live in. My eyes meet Bacchus again, he waits for me.

‘I’m sorry!’ I say while I walk towards him.

‘No problem.’ He answers. I only don’t know if he really means it or that he must say that because Timothy is here. Just before I walk onto the stairs, I see something in the corner of the room left from me. It’s a totally dark corner, but I can see two feet. I narrow my eyes and see a hand, holding a doll. A doll with pink hair and a little white dress. The eyes are buttons. Green buttons. I freeze. It’s a perfect copy of me. In doll-style.

‘Vanille?’ I hear Bacchus say from the top of the stairs. I shake my head and rush onto the stairs.

‘Sorry! I was..’ I say still looking down the stairs. I turn my head and look at him. ‘distracted.’ He nods and points at a door at the end of the hallway.

'That's yours.' He says smiling. I nod and walk towards it. 'We'll see you tomorrow, while breakfasting.' He says while walking downstairs again.

I sigh when I drop myself onto my bed and look at my room. It's a canopy bed with red curtains, with also red blanket. A big wooden closet stands at the left side, together with a sink. At the other side of the room is  a couch, the same as downstairs, a table and a mirror. The mirror has a golden frame and looks very old. There's even some cobweb in the left upper corner.

I close my eyes. Now I realize how tired I actually am. Slowly I fall asleep.
