The Beginning of the Battle

We continued to walk through the Nether Fortress, soon we see nether warts! David and I both grab some and soul sand, then keep going. My arm still hurt, though David wrapped part of his shirt around it. I kept hearing ghasts cry, and zombie pigmen make there weird little grunting noise. Eventually, we  reached a dead end.

"What do we do now?" David asks.

"Dig." I reply

We both got out our pickaxes and started mining the nether rack. It hurt my arm but I was ok. Soon I turned right and he turned left. All of a sudden I hear, "WOOOAAAAH!!" David fell! I ran down his long tunnel and see him laying on the ground of a big, oval, nether brick cave. There was a lava well in the middle, and to the right, was an iron bar cage. I couldn't see what was in it though.

I grabbed some ladders from my inventory and made my way down. I helped David out and we got our swords out. Then I hear a MOOO. I turned to where the noise came from and saw Hashbrown in the iron bar cage.

"Hashbrown!" I yell running towards his cage.

David grabs me by my arms, hurting my bad one, and pulls me back.

"Be patient! If Hashbrown is here, Herobrine is too."

We walk around, watching where we step to make sure we don't step on any pressure plates. There was a long tunnel on the opposite side of Hashbrowns cage. We walked toward it and peeked through. There was lots of lava and a cauldron. The cauldron has red water in it and Herobrine was mumbling something over it, then when he was done, he dunked his face in the cauldron.

I looked over at David who looked terrified.

"What??" I ask him.

"He just drank an immortal potion."

"I didn't know that was in this game!"

"Its not, he made it."

I stare at him for awhile, terrified too. He walked down another hallway and we sneaked over to the cauldron.

"Should we drink it??" I ask.

"No, it could be dangerous." David replies. He pulls a spawn egg out of his inventory and spawns a chicken. He holds it up to the cauldron so the chicken drinks it. He is okay for a minute, then he barfs and dies.

"Welp, glad we didn't--"

David puts his finger to my mouth, I push them away and he heads towards the ladders I placed.

"Where are you going!?" I yell following him.

"Break the ladders as you go up!"

I do as he says and he blocks off the way, except for one hole. Herobrine walks in the room with his bedrock sword. He pokes Hashbrown with it and he moos wildly. Herobrine cackles and walks into another hallway.

David and I go back down and try to free Hashbrown. David tries to break the iron bars with his pickaxe while I try to undo the lock. Its a weird puzzle. You have to get the key out of the glass by using the mini pistons in the lock. I tried all these different ways but it would go out. Then David and I switched spots.

While we were working, things got silent, too silent.

I hear a cackle and Herobrine stabs his sword through Davids back.

"ARGH!" David screams falling to the ground.

"DAVID!" I yell. Things are going to get bad.
