I'm on my way to Sarah's house and I soon feel tears running down my cheeks. I pick up my phone and dial Sarah. It rings about four times, but I have complete faith she will answer. Its only eight right now so I know she's not asleep.

"Hello, brainiac!" Sarah says as she answers the phone. I laugh a little because of our lifelong nicknames.

"Hey I'm on my way to your house, things are not good. At all." I'm about five minutes away now and I know she won't turn me down.

"What's wrong? How far away are you? I'll unlock the front door." Sarah says and I hear movement telling me she's moving down her stairs to unlock her door for me.

"I'm five minutes away. I'll explain everything when I get here." I knew I could count on Sarah to be there for me.

"Alright. See you soon." Sarah says as she hangs up. Ive been friends with Sarah for ten years and we have always done everything together. I know her parents are out of town this week so I won't have to worry about all of the questions they would surely ask me. I love them, but they can get in your business.

In a short amount of time I turn into Sarah's driveway. I grab my bag and head for the front door. This house was like my second home. And Sarah was like family not just my friend.

"In the living room!" Sarah yells to me as I shut and lock the door. I walk to the living room to see her standing in sweats and a comfortable T-shirt. She's by the TV and I see that the pull out couch has been made and on the coffee table there are two tubs of ice cream.

"Hey, nerd," I say as I set my bag down and take my shoes off. "What movie did you put in?"

"Vampire Academy, duh!" Sarah says. I should of known that was the movie. It has become our favorite movie for now. It changes about every week or so. "Oh, can you grab spoons. I totally forgot to get them earlier."

"Of course you did Sarah!" I say laughing as I walk into the kitchen and grab two spoons and two bottles of water. "I got water too, cause I figured that you forgot those too." I laugh and walk back into the living room.

"Oh yep I sure did." Sarah is now sitting on the couch waiting for me with the remote in her hand. As I sit down next to her she passes me a tub of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream, my favorite. She has a tub of mint chocolate in her had, her favorite ice cream.

"I don't know how you eat that crap," I tell her as I pass a spoon and a bottle of water.

"Hey don't hate on my ice cream!" She does this every time I make fun of her ice cream. We both laugh and she starts the movie and uses the remote to the ceiling fan to turn the light off so we can see better.

As we watch the movie and eat our ice cream I again realize how lucky I am to have her as a friend. She didn't ask me what was wrong right away because she knows to give me time to get my thoughts together. Its almost ten when the movie ends and I know I am now ready to tell her everything I learned less than three hours ago.

"My parents told me they arranged a marriage between me and a complete stranger. I will have to move to New York and he's supposed to be here tomorrow," I blurt all of this out as the credits begin to roll. Sarah looks at me and the spoon that was in her mouth drops to the floor.

"You're kidding right!" Sarah yells as she turns off the TV to hear me better.

I fall back onto the couch as I say, "I with I was, I really do." Sarah falls back next to me and just stares at the ceiling for a moment.

"That's insane. What's his name?" She props herself on her elbow to look at me better.

"Nathan Summers. My dad says he's rich and offered them a lot of money in order for me to marry him. Its like I'm an object to be sold to the highest bidder." I put my hands over my face as I feel the tears coming back to my eyes. I don't want to leave my home town, my memories, and I don't want to leave Sarah.

"Wait did you just say Nathan Summers?" Sarah asks as she sits up completely now.

"Yea. Why?" I sit up too as she jumps up and runs into the kitchen. "What are you doing?" I yell to Sarah as I get up and follow her.

"Come look. You'll never believe this!" I move to sit in the extra chair beside the family computer they keep. This chair is always here for me, no matter what.

"Look at who Nathan Summers is," Sarah says typing his name into Google and clicking on the first thing that pops up. Its an article on a rich man named Nathan Summers. It describes how he inherited over thirty five star hotels all over the world.

"Holy crap, that can't be him," I say as we read on. It says he's only twenty five and says he went to business school at a high end private college I've never heard of before.

"Oh look at this he's hot!" Sarah says as she scrolls down and sees a picture of Nathan Summers. She is right about him being hot. He has dark brown hair and blue eyes and it says he is six foot five inches.

"I don't care how hot he is I'm not marrying him." I get up and begin to walk back into the living room. I plop down on the couch to see Sarah walking in after me.

"I know, but I'm just saying y'all would be the perfect couple with you at five foot five and your red hair and blue eyes. And just think of what halls kids would like like. Cute little genius babies!"

"Oh heck no! I don't care and don't even talk about children. I'm twenty and I do t even have the intention of marrying this guy. EVER!" I say sitting up to look at Sarah. I know she just wants to see me smile, but she won't get one out of me this way.

"I know, I'm sorry I was just thinking out loud. Come on lets watch a movie and go to bed," says Sarah as she goes and puts on a different movie. This time its City Of Bones, which is always a good movie, but the books are way better.

I can't stop thinking about what my parents have planned for tomorrow. I wish I had learned the time he would arrive tomorrow so I could be gone before then. I had no intention of staying, I hoped to be gone before anything happened. I know it would only take them about a minute to figure out I was with Sarah. It was a no brainer, but I really needed to talk to her tonight.

As I fell asleep I couldn't help but remember the handsome picture of Nathan Summers on the computer from earlier. But one thing I was certain of, I would not be moving to New York or marrying him.
