A year before
I was going to a party with all my friends. We're in college so the parties are better than high school ones. I walked into the house and saw so many hot guys. My friends left me and a ginger came over.
"Hey. I'm Gabe," he said and smiled at me. His voice was amazing and his smile was cute.
"Tony," I replied. He handed me a drink.
"I was waiting for a cute guy to walk through the door. I'm glad you came," he said.
"I'm glad I did too," I whispered. He smiled.
"Wanna dance?" I nodded.
We danced all night and drank. We ended up sleeping together. We started dating. We graduated, moved in together, and I fell in love with him. The only problem was money. I was working at the hospital and he was working at a restaurant until he got hired elsewhere.
I thought Gabe and I were gonna get married. Our sex life was good. He pays attention, loves me. And then all that went to dust when he got his job at the police station. He only paid attention to that.
Maybe me and Gabe can make this work. Or I'll meet someone else...
