***Beeja's point of view

I woke up before Tara, so I went and showered. I walked out to see her sitting up with a confused look on her face. She was so cute.

"Good morning sleepy head," I said to her. I walked up to her questionably and handed her a glass of water that I had grabbed from the bathroom.

"What happened last night?" She asked me. I looked at her only to find out that she was serious. Was she drunk last night?

"Were you drunk last night when you came to my room?" A shocked face was my response.

"Oh my God! Nimeuh!" Tara jumped up knocking me back. She ran out of my rooms without a single look back towards me. I was disappointed, but I had hoped that she had a good reason.

***Tara's point of view

I didn't remember everything from last night, but what made me forget would wear off soon. I recognized the symptoms of that potion easily. It was meant to wipe a human's memory completely within a day. Nimeuh doesn't know that I am her food tester, and that's why I yelled her name when I was with Beeja. There was something important from last night that I couldn't put my finger on.

"Nimeuh!" I screamed as I burst in her room. She looked at me confused. "What is the last thing you remember?"

"Danshel left yesterday," she responded. This could not be any worse. That was a year or two ago, so it's affecting her faster than it should.

"Stay right there!" I ran to my chambers only to be met with a snide man I had hoped I would never see again, Trest.

"Ah, Tara, baby, you're back," he spoke to me. I glared in his direction and tried to push past him. "Don't even try to run from me, honey. I've missed you."

"Trest, I've gotta go," I spat at him. He smirked that same one he has always done.

"You may only go if you agree to go on a date with me, old mate."

"Fine, now let me go!" He released me and I flew into my room. I didn't leave without giving his face a nice shock with one glance from my eye. I glanced around my potions room to find two remedies for Nimeuh. After grabbing them, I evaporated back to her room, and she looked at me with that same confused look.

"Aren't you supposed to be mating with Trest tonight?" She questioned me. I had forgotten about that night two and a half years ago.

"Drink this," I spoke as I threw the flask at her. She didn't even question me, she chugged the whole thing. I took a sip of the other, but I knew it wouldn't recall my memory. The potion was only supposed to work on humans. "You feeling better?" As I asked she began to collapse, so I helped her get tucked into bed and turned to leave.

"You may have stopped the erasing of her memory, but that will not be the last time she is almost destroyed," a voice that belonged Bensha spoke to me. I looked her in the eyes, but she sent a spark that made me recoil in pain.

"How?" I exclaimed.

"You are not the only gifted one, my child." With that she walked away.

***Trest's memory

It was so strange seeing my old mate. Tara and I had actually been married because we both gave up on looking for our mates. We declared each other as our mates and were married in a small ceremony among the Royal Court. Of course it was wonderful that night that we took each others' virginities, but it also showed that we weren't gonna be able to find our actual mates because of this. I don't think either of us were unpleased.

I also remember the day she left me. It wasn't her choice, and I wanted her to stay so badly. Nimeuh was leaving because her fiancé had gone missing. Nimeuh was going on a one year pilgrimage with her protectors, and she would be meeting with her step mother the last week of the trip. It was hard for me to let Tara go, but she left happily. I had been the idiot who, one week before she left, slept with someone else. She never forgave me, so my goal was to get my wife back before she broke our magical bond.

***Trest's point of view

I decided that if Tara wasn't going to come to me, then I would have to go get her. I left a note on her door early this morning to be ready for a date at seven, but I didn't say who it was from. I dressed in my best and walked out into the courtyard where I was supposed to meet her. I wasn't waiting long before she showed up.

She was probably wearing the most clothing I had ever seen her in

She was probably wearing the most clothing I had ever seen her in. Her long sleeves and pants made me a little angry that she would dress such a way for our date.

"I knew it was you," Tara spoke out. She had a slight scowl on her face, but she was over all in a talkative mood. I was able to read her moods, because I had mated her oh so long ago, but it was growing weaker as she inched away from me. Even now, her mood was breaking the magical bond between us.

"Good, then you should have worn something a little wore... tearable," I smirked as I spoke.

"You've got a lot of nerve speaking to me with that tongue after you had it shoved up another girl's butt!" She was beginning to shake with fury, and I could see the clouds overhead swirling up with the storm her attitude was creating.

"Come on, Tara, that was forever ago. You've gone on a pilgrimage and I've had my time to realize that you really are the one for me. No spark needed." At the word spark, something went off in her head, but it was gone quickly enough that I couldn't figure out what it was. "Let's just go on this date, shall we?"

"Fine, but no funny business."

***Beeja's point of view

I wasn't trying to spy on Tara, but I just so happened to be near the courtyard when I heard her speaking. I followed the voice only to find her with Trent. I couldn't believe I had forgotten that Trent was Tara's husband. They had been together for years, but Tara left him to go on that pilgrimage with Nimeuh all that time ago. My heart fell as I watched them leave on their date, and I wished I was the one in Trent's shoes. Tara doesn't even know that she is my mate, and I will make sure she figures it out before she reinstates her marriage with Trent.
