CHAPTER 2 -Better late than never

Saturday, dear Saturday. Why did it have to be Saturday? Please, take notes that I love Saturday.

I love to wake up and don’t have to rush to get ready for school and to eat breakfast in ten seconds. I love to stay in and just watch series on my laptop or to log in on Tumblr and to talk to Natassa, my friend from Greece. I love to drink green tea and draw some pictures. I love to be me. The real me when no one’s around.

But not this Saturday.

I actually despised this Saturday so much, I wouldn’t even mind if it was Monday already. Can you see how much I didn’t want to face this Saturday.

I could have been sleeping until 12am, then going to jog or hanging out with my best guy friend Oliver. Or even pretend that I did have a social life and went outside, maybe to the Mall or the movies. But it will be none of this. I had to go to Ally’s home.

Did I really have to do this?

Yes, I had to, I promised to her and I didn’t want to disappoint her. It will be just one day.

One day where I would have to pretend I’m all happy and excited and I can hardly breathe because One Direction is like, two feet away from me. Ha-ha, can you hear the sarcasm?

I went downstairs to get a lovely breakfast… What about pancakes or some French bread. That would be delightful. I saw my brother in the kitchen munching some cereals.

-Hey brother, how -, I was cut off by him.

-Kar, Alyssa called ten times in the last hour. She said you have to go to her house now, my brother told me. And she seemed pretty pissed off! What’s up with her lately?

Ugh. ‘’Maybe because you were gone for 3 months and she missed you because you didn’t call her or answered her texts, you stupid.’’ Why does she have to be quite early? I told her I would be at her’s at 3. Oh my god, sometimes she over exaggerated.

Ally always had been this girl who needed to over exaggerate everything. I remembered the first I noticed she was that way, when we were maybe 6 or 7 years old. I had tripped over some dead-wooden stick, and I remembered exactly she said to my parents: ‘’We were running away from some really bad guys, and one of them pushed Kar to the ground.’’ The fact my parents actually smiled to her story probably convinced Ally of her drama-talent, and since then, she can’t bear to live in a too-normal-casual everyday-life.

I made my way to the kitchen and decided it will only be plain cereal. I poured some milk into my bowl and I went sitting next to my brother.

-Well, when are you going to call her? He asked me angrily.

-What’s up your butt, Clarke? I told you I only have to get there at 3. Now why don’t you just leave me alone eating my cereal? Wouldn’t you?

-Whatever you want, I mean, it’s not my business at all, but I just want my baby girl to come home tonight, you know. I care about her and I wish…, he was cut off by me.

-What are you talking about? Since when are you all lovey-dovey about our siblings relation? I rudely snapped at him.

-Well, since it’s 4 and I know Ally will basically kill you, since you’re 1 hour late, he replied smirking at me.

-WHAT?

I turned on the chair and face the clock.

‘’Oh my god, oh no. It can’t be real. What is it already 4’oclock. I knew I went bed very late last night, because Clarke and I talked for hours, maybe until 3 in the morning. I didn’t think I slept that much. Oh no, I’m so late, Ally is going to kill me. She is probably already thinking how to kill me without being caught or something.’’
