I'll look after you part 9

Richelle's POV

Today is the day of the duet competition and I am extremely nervous. I hope we do really well and I don't want to let my team down. Riley, Michelle, Eldon, Thalia, Giselle, Max, Noah and I board the bus for the competition since their is also a female/male solo and trio category. The bus drive is three hours long and I HATE buses but I have to put up with it. I sit next Noah and rest my head on his shoulder. My eyes get heavy and soon enough I fall asleep. Noah has his arm around me and I am in his lap. Time flies and soon enough the bus ride is over.

Riley's POV

The bus ride is almost over so I travel up the back of the bus to check on everyone. When I get up to Nochelle I see that they are both sound asleep. It is the cutest thing ever. Richelle is in his lap with her head on his shoulder. Noah has his arms around her like she is the most important thing in his life. I take out my phone and snap a quick picture, this could come in very handy later. I wake them up and we get out of the bus. Max, Eldon and Noah grab the heavy bags while the girls grab the light bags. We go inside the auditorium and the stage is massive, I am pretty sure there is seats for over 10 000 people. I really hope we can pull of a few wins for TNS. We need to make a name for our selves here. The kids set up the dressing rooms and get changed into their costumes. The trios are first and we are just putting the finishing touches onto it. After the trio is the duets than male solos and lastly female solos. Max, Giselle and Thalia perform their 'Tides' trio and they are crushing it. I am so proud of them. The trio comes third which is great considering most of the studios in Canada are here. Richelle and Noah are now getting ready for their duet. I can see Richelle is getting nervous and I am about to go over to her when Noah does. I see Noah pull her into a hug and kiss the top of her head. Seriously how can one couple be so cute? They take the stage and perform the best duet I have ever seen, Well after James and I's internationals duet of course. They have so much chemistry it is amazing. We are waiting for the awards and the third and second has already been called out so we either came first or didn't place at all. "And the winner of the duet category is...Noah and Richelle from The Next Step!!" We all start cheering and Noah pulls Richelle in a hug and swings her around. They kiss and the crowd goes crazy. Kind of like when James and I kissed in front of everyone at Nationals. Wait it is like Nochelle is turning into Jiley!!

Richelle's POV

I am so happy we won this feels amazing. I head off stage hand and hand with Noah and we are showered in hugs and cheers from TNS. It is now Eldon's turn to do his solo 'Oxygen' and he performs extremely well. He places second which is really good. It is now Michelle's solo and the female solos have just started. Out of nowhere Michelle runs to the toilet. Riley and Thalia follow after her leaving the rest of us worried. Riley comes back with a sad look on her face, "Michelle can't perform she is sick." Oh great now we have to forfeit. "Does anyone have another solo they have prepared?" Everyone shakes their heads but I get an idea. "Riley I can do my daisy solo, The one I did at the wild Rhythm Tour." Every ones faces light up. "Richelle that solo was killer!" "Yeah you have to do it." "OK Richelle you can do it but we don't have a costume." I sigh, "Wait I brought a competition leotard because I couldn't decide whether to wear the dress or that so I can wear that!" Riley grabs my arm and quickly does my hair in a bun and adds these pretty white daisies. I change into my leotard and fix my make up ready to go. I wait in the wings while Riley changes Michelle's name to mine. Noah comes up to me and puts an arm around me while I burrow my head into his chest. The girl going before me starts her solo and when I see her face I am really surprised. "Noah that's Brianna." I gasp and look at him. "She has gotten allot better since last time I battled her, she can do an aerial now and..." I am cut off by Noah pressing his soft lips onto mine. I melted inside but of course I kissed back. I put my arms around his neck and continued making out with him. "Don't ruin her make up Noah!" Max says loudly while walking past. Noah pulls away and punches him on the arm. He just laughs and walks off. "Richelle you beat her last time and she didn't get that much better, you are the best dancer here you will win and I know it." I give him one last peck as Brianna walks off stage. She walks into my shoulder and says, "Beat that." like she did when I first battled her. I turn around to face her. "Oh please I beat you last time and I will do it again easily." She just huffs and walks back to her team. I am so ready to crush this solo. I walk on stage preparing for this. The music started playing and everyone was cheering, this was a competition where you were allowed to cheer so judging from the screams and applause I was doing really well. I soon finished and got a standing ovation and bowed. Everyone went on stage waiting for the judges results. I look at Noah and he gives me a wink and thumbs up. Why must he be so cute?? The judges start reading out the results and Brianna came in the top ten. She looks surprised that she didn't score higher but that just made me smile more. "And the winner of the female solo category is...Richelle Nolet from The Next Step. The auditorium screamed and cheered as I went up to collect my trophy. I bowed again and turned to face Brianna. I smirked at her and she crossed her arms and glared at me. All the girls went off stage and TNS trapped me in a group hug. Noah's lingered longer and we just stood there in each others arms. We were interrupted by Brianna pushing us apart and glaring at me. "You might have beat me twice Nolet but that doesn't prove you are a better dancer than me." I cross my arms, "Umm it kind of does, but don't feel bad I am sure you are good at something else." I say while putting a hand on her shoulder and giving her a fake sympathetic look. Noah laughs quietly and gives me a high five. She turns to Noah, "Oh Noah why date her when you could have all of this." "I wouldn't date you if there was a zombie apocalypse and the only way to save everyone was to date you." She crosses her arms and struts away. Noah and I hug once more and walk back to the bus hand in hand. This was the best competition ever!!

A/U I know this chapter is terrible but I wrote it at 1:30 in the morning!! YAY!! Anyway I will try to update soon but next week I won't be updating much cause I am going camping. Any I hope you have a great day!!!!!!!
