'Throwing a line out to sea, to see if I can catch a dream.'
She had the world~ Panic! At the DiscoA/N I would recommend listening to the alternate version of 'Behind the Sea' by Panic! At the Disco for a better reading experience xx
Brendon's POV:
"Nothing beats this weather, huh?" I leaned over to where Ryan was sat in the field. Spencer and Jon were sat in the tree we were next to, and were fighting for a decent seat on the branch. "Yeah, I guess." I gave him a confused look. "You guess? What do you mean by that?"He sighed, looking down to avoid eye contact. "It's just that, well, everything's always the same here! No snow in the winter, no rain either. I know it's pretty much perfect here, but it's so boring!" He looked back up at me. "Sorry Bren, I guess I'm just having a bad day." I smiled weakly at him. "Hey, it's fine. It is pretty boring, but it doesn't have to be. How about we go join Spencer and Jon?" Ryan nodded, and got up off the grass. I joined him as he ran over to the tree.
"Yo Spence!" I yelled at the tree. Spencer looked down, and nudged Jon. "Yeah, what's up?" Jon snapped back into reality as he said that. "Budge over, we're climbing up. Yeah, you too Jon." They shuffled across the branch while Ryan and I climbed the tree. "Come on Ry, you've got to admit that this is cool." He looked at me and gave me a side-smile. "Mmhmm."
Something about him wasn't quite right. What was up with him lately? Maybe he was just having a rough time getting used to the surroundings. Even after 2 years, he still seemed unhappy with the world of Pretty. Odd. I sighed and resumed joking around with the guys. He'd cool off eventually, right?
