'Lying there with a halo in her hair she cried "There are feathers everywhere but it's fine, you do this all the time." '

Ryan's POV:
Sometimes I really hated Brendon. He had the ability to make you feel so bad about something you hadn't even done, just to get what he wanted. It was that smile of his. Even a mere side-smile could have the power to manipulate anyone, but maybe I was just being dramatic. I decided that I would sit on one of the hay bales by the farm, alone with my thoughts and nothing more.
Brendon's POV:
I walked into the house. Spencer and Jon were sat by the fire with their hot chocolates (or cocoa, whatever you call it) talking to each other about God knows what. I cleared my throat, causing them to turn around to where I was standing. "Hey man, what's up? What did you say to Ryan? Is everything okay?" I rolled my eyes in response. "Well, Ryan's just being a bit of a downer, so we'll leave it at that. Oh, and I would advise you two to leave him alone when he comes in. He's acting like a grump." They gave me confused looks. "Bren, don't you think that's a little harsh? I mean, we all have our moments but-" I glared at Jon. "But what?" He looked down at the floor. "Nothing, I was just saying that..." He trailed off mid-sentence, realising that I had already won. "Never mind." I nodded in approval. "Right, well I'm gonna go hit the hay, so I'll see you guys tomorrow. Night spence, night Jon." I walked past the living room to where my room was. "Night Brendon." They said in unison. After that I could hear them muttering but I couldn't make out exactly what they were saying. I opened the door to my room and collapsed on to my bed. Sleep was an absolute necessity at this point in time, as I found myself drifting off into the dream realm.
Ryan's POV:
After thinking to myself, I decided it was time to head back inside. I walked up the steps on the porch to the door, and went inside to where Spencer and Jon were. Spencer looked up at me, and nudged Jon. "Hey Ry." Jon said quietly. "Um, hey? You, uh, okay?" He looked up at me. "Well actually-" Spencer cut him off. "He's fine. Just a bit moody, that's all." I nodded slowly. "Okay, well I'm gonna head to bed. G'night guys." I walked up the ladder that led to the second floor where my room was. Well, actually my room was the second floor, but that's not important. (For more information, when you go up the ladder, it leads to a small room. At the end of that room is a small crevice by the window. At night, you can see a perfect view of the fields. By the window is my bed. So, yeah.) I scooted over to my bed which was basically a bunch of blankets. I was pretty peeved that I was the only one that didn't get a proper bed. Wow, thanks guys. I proceeded to lay down and close my eyes. Goodnight world. Goodnight Pretty. Odd.
