Brookes Coffee house wasn’t as pact as it was yesterday. The location and decoration was perfect, it was perfect for my father’s tourism project.
As I made my way to the counter Sophie nudged me.
“Hey, imagine guitar boy’s here again. Too bad you don’t know his name.” She smiled in excitement. I could not stop thinking about yesterday. No one had ever sang me a song, no one as good looking as the guitarist from yesterday. His voice was so... attractive and the mere fact that he played that song to me was unbelievable. I still can’t believe it all happened. It was like an embarrassing yet wonderful dream. Sophie didn’t stop talking about it all night.
“Hmm yeah.” I replied as we reached the counter desk. A short, blond was making hot chocolate to a customer. It took my attention that she was the only one who was working.
“One hot chocolate with whipped cream.” She announced and the male customer nodded, paid and went to find a seat. She then turned to me with a bright smile and asked,
“What can I get for you?” She had those child-like, cute voices that made you like her just like that. I couldn’t help but smile back.
“Uh, no we’re not here to get anything um...me and my friend Sophie were wondering if we could somehow talk to the manager or owner of this coffee house.”
The sweet, blond girl looked scared as her eyes widened.
“Is there something wrong?” She asked. I shook my head vigorously.
“No, no, no, everything is fine! It’s not a complaint we liked to discuss...just a deal and partnership request. Is the person in charge here?”
She sighed in relief and reached her hand to her heart. Then, she laughed a small laugh and nodded.
“Oh! Good! I was going for a minute there. Just wait for a sec and I will get my father for you.” With that she headed to a door that was labelled ‘STAFF ONLY’.
“Did she say father? So...she works at her fathers coffee house? Ha, that’s cool! I wonder if she gets paid...” Sophie trailed on.
“She’s nice” I replied and Sophie nodded.
“Yup, I was thinking to dye my hair blond you know. I really like blond hair.”
“Really? Do it.” Sophie nodded slowly examining her finger nails.
“Yeah, maybe when we get back to London.”

“Run, run, runaway, runaway baby before I get my hands on you..” I sang as I walked down the sunlit street to the coffee house with Dave.
“Dude, do you want to shut up? I know you’re voice is so great but seriously give me a break!” He whined. I rolled my eyes at him.
“Don’t wanna break your heart, wanna give your heart a break. I know you’re scared it’s wrong, like you might make a mistake..” I sang back as my reply. Dave groaned but I saw the smile before he turned it into a frown.

The blond girl came out with a tall, slightly over-weight man. His eyes were the same colour of his daughter’s; a light brown.
“Hello ladies, how can I help? Jenna you take care of the customers.”
Jenna smiled at us one last time before making her way to the cashier.
