Slade's POV

I was walking on the sidewalk holding my head. I know exactly why I was in so much pain...mentally and physically. My parents died in a plain crash about 4 months ago I was kicked out of my house about a month ago. I wanted to get past my parents death so I did the worst thing posable.... No I didn't go and do Drugs.
Flash back
I was performing at a bar. I was singing monster by skillet(at the top). After that I asked the bartender to get me a Corona.
"Hey how old are you?" He asked
"I'm 21" I lied
I'm actually 14 but he doesn't know that because I'm a chipmunk.
"Well alright" he said as he handed me a bottle. Instead of fixing my problems another way, I instead drowned my pain in beer.
End of Flashback
I continued to walk feeling much more sober than before. I hadn't noticed I had walked into the street and a car was coming right behind me. I heard the tires screech. I turned around and quickly covered my face but I open one eye up when I see the car had stopped in font of me. Then a man quickly stepped out of the car.
He looked like a casual guy, nice hair, jeans, and a light blue shirt.
"Are you okay?" He asked
"Okay? No I'm am not okay! I was nearly roadkill!" I yelled
"I'm sorry but you were walking in the street" the man said
I sighed
"I guess your right my bad" I said as I began to walked away
"Hey wait why don't you come stay with me" the man asked
"Excuse me?" I said
"You know a nice warm bed and food" the Man said
"Uh wow...um thanks" I said with a small smile as I got into the car. I sat up front with the man and he began driving.
"So what's your name" I asked
"Dave...Dave Seville and you are..." he responded
"Slade Smith" I said
"Well Slade it's nice to meet you" Dave said
"Nice meeting you too Dave" I said

We arrived at Dave's house and when we walked in I saw 3 figures in the living room, sitting on the sofa and watching TV. The three looked at Dave.
"Hey Dave" they all said
As they got off the couch thats when they noticed me.
"Hey Dave who's that?" The chubby chipmunk asked
"Guys this Slade, and Slade this is Alvin, Simon, and Theodore" Dave said
"H-Hey Slade what's up" Alvin asked
I smiled
"Well you know not much" I said
Alvin smiled at me
"Well then Alvin, I'll set up dinner while you show Slade around" Dave said
"Gladly" Alvin said we with a smile
"Follow me" he added
We walked up stairs and Alvin opened up one of the doors
"this is me and my brothers room. You can obviously tell which ones my bed" he said with a chuckle
I looked at the bed with red sheets and chuckled as well.
"Muy Agradable" I said
"Huh?" Alvin said confused
"You don't speak Spanish?" I asked
"Uh no sorry" Alvin said disappointed
"I said Very Nice" I said with a chuckle
"Oh hehe" Alvin smiled
"Um would you um.....be willing to teach me" Alvin asked as he rubbed the back of his head
"That depends... Are you willing to learn" I asked
Alvin nodded
"Then sure I'll teach you no problem"
"Thanks Slade" Alvin said as he closed his bedroom door
"Por supuesto...no problem Alvin" I said

After the tour Dave called us for dinner. Simon and Theodore were already at the table but Alvin and Slade were still upstairs.
"Alvin! Slade! Come on dinner's ready" Dave yelled out
Alvin Ran down the stairs and I was right behind him but I wasn't running. Me and Alvin sat down and I could smell lasagna.

After we ate Dave started to talk about where I should sleep tonight
"You could sleep on the couch but the fan doesn't work very well out here it'll be really hot" Dave said
"Slade Can sleep with me" Alvin suggested
Dave then looked at me
"Are you okay with that Slade"
"Por Supuesto" I said with a smile
"Huh?" Dave said
"He said sure" Simon said with a smile
Well okay then I guess your sleeping with Alvin.

Every one walked upstairs very tired. Simon and Theodore walked inside the room and me and Alvin followed behind.
"Okay okay one more how do you say awesome in Spanish?" Alvin asked
I smiled
"Increíble" I said
"Incri...no wait...Increíble" Alvin said with a smile
I laughed
"okay let's get to bed" I said as I removed my shoes and Alvin changed into his PJ's. We got into bed and Alvin scooted closer to me but he tried to make it not noticeable. Which he failed at doing. He turned his body towards me and I did the same.
"Something wrong" I asked
"Hm....no"Alvin said with a slight blush
"Um how do you say Nerd in Spanish" Alvin asked with a smirk
I sighed
"Empollón" I said
He turned his body to Simons bed
"Hey Si" Alvin said Quietly
"Uhh what Alvin" Simon said a little bit annoyed
"Empollón" Alvin said with a chuckle
"Burro...now go to sleep Alvin" Simon said and turned the other way
I laughed
Alvin quickly turned his body toward me again.
"What? What'd he say?" He asked
"He called you a jackass" I said with a chuckle.
Alvin giggled
"Goodnight Alvin" I said
Alvin scooted closer to the point where our foreheads are touching. But I didn't mind.
"Night Slade" Alvin said as he drifted to sleep and as did I.

The next morning Alvin woke me up asking if I wanted to go to school with him and his brothers. I gave a tired smile and nodded as I got up and got ready.
