I walked over to where we usually sit at lunch to find that girl from yesterday sitting next to you. Turns out her name is Molly.
I could feel the heaviness in my chest. I knew that I liked you, and not just in a let's be best friends way. But I knew that I wouldn't ever have a chance. I had excepted that. But it still broke my heart to see you with other girls.
I walked over and you said "Oh hey, Penny. Here, there's a seat for you." You patted the empty seat next to you.
I just nodded, and say down without saying a word.
"Molly, this is Penny. My best friend. And Penny, this is Molly, we're, uh, dating."
Dating?
Woah. I guess it didn't take long for her to throw herself at you."Hey" I said to her, trying hard to keep my face straight.
"Hi." She gave me the most forced smile I've ever seen.
I really didn't know what you saw in her, Ryan.
