No one can make me smile like you can.

*Beep* *Beep* my phone beeps, as I put the groceries away, when I answer the phone I hear the sweet sound of my favorite person ever, Ken.
"Date night tonight?" He says in a soft and settle voice.
"Thought you'd never ask." I say calmly yet very excited.
This was going to be like our millionth date.
"Meet me at the new restaurant, Philos tonight at seven." He says quietly
"See you there!" I wanted to tell him I was busy helping my parents move into their new home, but I couldn't.
"It's a date." He says it loud so everyone can hear him.
I quickly hang up.
How was I supposed to go on a date if I had to help my parents?
I grabbed my phone and dialed the number of Sue and Tom Rou.
"Hello?" My mother answers very calmingly.
"Hello mother it's Lizzy, I was wondering if I could cancel on tonight?" I say nervously.
"Why would you want to do such a thing like that?"
"Well you see me and Ken made plans and I had forgotten that I said I would help you and father." I said quietly and quickly.
"Well your father is away on a business trip in London." She says it with a little attitude, which is something I can't stand.
"Oh well I must've forgot!"
"Likely, you forget everything." She says firmly.
"What if I get a friend to help you?" I ask.
She pauses for a moment.
"Mmhm well I guess that would be alright."
"Perfect I'll have Amy be there at six."
I say very excitedly.
"Sounds great." She says.
"Well alright, bye, love you." I say quickly.
"Bye love you"
I let her hang up so I don't seem rude.
Only one more phone call I say to myself. I call my best friend Amy.
" hello, who is this?" Amy yawns as if she didn't get any sleep.
"Hey Amy its Elizabeth!" I say with enthusiasm.
"Oh, hey Lizzy, what's up?" She asks.
"Can I ask you a little favor, paid of course."I ask quietly.
"Sure what's the favor?"
"Can you please help my mom tonight, she needs help moving big boxes and heavy furniture?" I say nervously.
"Well you know I don't like your mom, but how much money are you willing to give me?" She asks.
"Well you'll be there for three hours, so I guess one hundred fifty dollors?" I say.
" Well it's not much but I'll do it."
"Yay!!!" I shout as I jump up and down.
"But why can't you do it?" She asks.
"I have a date with Ken!" I yell.
"Ok ok ssshhhhh, the baby is asleep." She says quietly.
Amy has a daughter named Allison, Alli for short, she is one year old.
"Sorry." I whisper.
"It's alright." She says.
"Anyway bye." I say.
"Bye." She hangs up.
Finally no more people I have to talk to. I look at the clock on my wall, it's four, so I have three hours to get ready.
I sprint to the closet and grab a pink shower towel. I run to the bathroom and turn on the shower and take off my cloths and hop in the shower.
I think about all the times I was mean to people, and how they've given me a second chance.
"I don't deserve a second chance." I say aloud.
