"Excuse me." Harry said and pushed his cart towards the family of red heads. "Could you tell me how to get onto..." His voice trailed off.
"Onto the platform? Don't worry it's Ron's first time as well. You just walk straight at the wall. Best to do it at a run if you noticed." The mother said. Harry did what she said and walked towards the train and found a compartment on the train.
A few minutes later the boy from earlier came. "Is it okay if I sit here? Everywhere else is full."
"Go ahead."
"I'm Ron Weasley by the way."
"I'm Harry, Harry Potter."
"Is it true that you have the..." His voice trailed off.
"The what?"
"The scar."
"Oh yeah." Harry said and pushed back his hair.
"Wow."
A lady who pushed the snack cart came by.
"I'm good." Ron said lifting a bag with a sandwich inside and had a disgusted face.
Harry reached into his pocket. "We'll take a lot." She handed them some candy and went to every other compartment.
"Fred gave me this spell to turn my rat yellow, want to see it?" Ron asked. Harry nodded. Ron cleared his throat. "Sunshine dais-"
"Have you seen a toad? A boy named Neville lost one." A girl with bushy brown hair asked. Harry and Ron replied with a 'No'. "Oh doing magic? Let's see then." She said and sat down across from them.
Ron cleared his throat and said the spell yet again. "Sunshine, daisies, butter mellow, turn this stupid fat rat yellow." Nothing happened but the box of Bertie's Botts Every flavor jellybeans fell on the floor.
"It's not really good is it? I been doing magic myself and every spell worked for me. Example, oculus reparo." She said while her wand pointed at Harry's glass fixed his glasses. Harry took his glasses of then put them back on. "Your Harry Potter! I'm Hermione Granger, and you are?"
"Ron Weasley."
"Pleasure." She stood up, "you better change into your robes, I expect we're arriving soon." She said and left. But came back in to say something else. "You know you have dirt right there." She said rubbing the side of her nose to show Ron before leaving to find Neville's road in other compartments.
